Then you add in Safety Eric Reid who has had a few concussions himself and may now look at retirement as an option. This could be the start of a new trend of players retiring very early.
Time for the rebuild to officially start in San Fran.

I believe in the Jays.
|
I'm excited about Wilfork. If he has anything left in the tank then it could be a pretty scary front 7 with him, Watt, and Clowney (if his injuries ever go away), to go along with an already very decent secondary.
There is a lot of ifs, but there is potentially a really good defence in Houston this year.

Unbelievable.

Reid better be thinking about it - he has a history of concussions and should think about it.
And there are rumours Bowman still has pain in his knee.
Screw this "looking for targets for Kaep"; this team needs to rebuild almost every part of this team. Unless Tomasula is a savant this team is going to regress to 2003-2010 levels.

Seems like Greg Hardy is close to signing with the Cowboys. That would be a good pickup for them. He is a solid player who had his off field issues. But that is a good pickup.

Greg Hardy could actually be Seattle bound if they trade Michael Bennett....who has demanded a trade to Atlanta and a new contract as well.

This off-season is basically Saints vs Eagles, on who can confuse more people on what the plan is. Eagles bring in Tebow, your move Payton/Loomis. #HenryBurris

I've always liked Drew Brees -- not sure how much gas is left in the tank though.
The Saints also signed former Hamilton TiCat Delvin Breaux -- he has quite the history. Hope he makes the team because that would mean two former CFLers in their defensive backfield...

Stevie Johnson to the Chargers...like this signing. Can any 49ers fans fill me in on how he was last season for them?

#3 or #4 WR. Didn't seem to have the wheels to get separation but a big part of that was the protection wasn't giving Kaep enough time (or Kaep not getting through his reads fast enough). When he was the primary target he was pretty good, but the 49ers already had Boldin and Crabtree as possession receivers. I think his issue was similar to Vernon Davis' - Kaepernick just can't seem to read the field well enough so passing opportunities were missed of you weren't one of the first couple reads. Personally I would have targeted him a bit more but he never seemed to get the same comfort level with Kaep as Boldin or Crabtree.
I think with Rivers at QB he will provide a lot more production. You should be happy with him.

The Saints also have former CFL safety Marcus Ball on the roster, and had former Stamp Tom Johnson in 2013. They always seem to have a bit of a CFL connection over the years.

Oh my. From Darrelle Revis to Bradley Fletcher. What an awful start to the offseason for Patriots. 1 yr, 2.5million.

Sounds like Irsay is drinking again...
Quote:
The Colts will propose a new rule at next week’s league meeting that would allow teams to try for a “bonus point” after a successful two-point conversion. So if a team lines up for a two-point conversion attempt and succeeds, that team would then line up at the 32-yard line and try a 50-yard field goal. If the kick is good, the team would get one point, for a total of nine points on the possession: six on the touchdown, two on the conversion and one on the bonus kick.
The proposal is, for now, just to try the rule during the preseason. If it’s successful in the preseason, in the future it could be considered in the regular season. It’s not unusual for the league to try out new rules in the preseason; last year the league experimented with making extra points harder in preseason games.

One year, up to $13 million. Big risk but he's a big time player.

He could still be suspended up to 6 games this upcoming year. This guy shouldn't be playing in the NFL. The details of what he did to his ex-GF are horrifying.
He was found guilty and the only reason he got off was because the witness (ex-GF) didn't show up to the trial and couldn't be located. The fact that she couldn't be located is crazy as well.

No he wasn't. Not in the assault case anyhow.
I do agree though that the accusations are horrific in this case. Dude is a ticking time bomb if all those things are true....someone will die at his hands likely.

Yes, yes he did.

A North Carolina judge found Hardy guilty. A quirk in North Carolina law allowed Hardy to appeal the verdict and he did and—surprise—the victim could not be found so charges were dropped.
