Good in theory, but you'd have so many diseases doing that it wouldn't be worth it.

Not sure she would've written the headline. I know from experience that reporters don't. Then again this one seems like it might be authored by her or maybe at least approved by her. It doesn't really match the article though.

I'd be more interested in the story of the spouse of a journeyman, which could dispell a lot of myths. And I wish she'd have mentioned all the good stuff the wives and girlfriends do charty-wise (maybe that's more recent).

On the moving - I think these days teams are more attuned and have staff to assist player movement.

You know...I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, I really do. But look at the photos of those women sitting around a table discussing not going to the spa every day because some of them 'sit on the board' of charity organizations and adopt dogs from the humane society.

Sure, some of them have jobs, but I'd wager that most dont. Especially not after they have kids.

This sounds like its going to be an episode of 'The View' with a different cast.

Pretty much. You cant say 'this isnt a bunch of glammed up trophy wives chatting about how they're not a bunch of glammed up trophy wives' but have a more stereotypical promo photo than that.

The first job I had in my industry, I was living in Northern BC and was only home for about 2 months a year and was making $45,000 a year. I did it for 4 years (2006 to 2010) before my wife couldn't take it any more. It's just a fact of life for many Canadians, especially ones that can only find work in remote areas.

I have trouble feeling sorry for NHL hockey players and their wives. I am not saying it is always easy for them, but they have it pretty good in general.
