7-4-1 to get to 96 points. I think that gets the Flames in.
7 wins in 12 games. It's possible!

Becomes even more possible when you look at our schedule.

Hope some of those teams play each other. Without looking at schedule for all teams it looks like the final 2 games of season (LA, Winnipeg) are must wins.

The Canucks play LA twice and Winnipeg twice.
It is disgusting but I think at this point we have to hope for the Canucks to sweep both of them.
The Wild also play LA and Winnipeg once each. Hope for Wild victories in both of those games, I guess.

It would really help if supposedly good teams like Nashville, Chicago, the Rangers and the Pens stopped playing us hard before rolling over for the teams we are battling for playoff spots.

It's amazing how fast things can change after a couple of losses in a row. If they lose to the Flyers they are in a situation where they will need to hope for help on the OOT scoreboard which for the most part has been a nightmare.

Nothing has changed. It's about what one should have expected. A loss after travel to a hot team in a back-to-back and a loss to perhaps the best team in the league.
Still very much in control of own destiny. Flames teams of the past could not take care of Business at crunch time. I think this team can

7-4-1 is certainly possible but it's going to be tough. 2 losses in a row really hurts our chances now.

Going forward, yes.
Last two were likely.
Flames simply need to win the games they 'should' win. Last 3 games were Anaheim, Avs on road in back-to-back, and St. Louis.
2 points is probably all one could expect, realistically.

Minny and Van are pretty much in the clear IMO. We keep hoping they collapse, but it just isn't happening.
So a 3-way sprint for 2 spots is what it looks like.

Yeah, this has been extremely frustrating for a couple months now.
Tampa is stupid too. They lost to the Kings twice recently, and then had Winnipeg on the ropes before that 5 minute major turned the tide for the Jets. That would have been the Jets 3rd loss in a row, and they were sinking like a stone.

I still think 94 points will do it, with the tie-breakers. 6-6-1 gets them there. Next 4 very winnable.
LA has a brutal schedule. WIN too.
SJ is done.

I'm starting to think 96 is the number now, personally. The pace seems to have picked up in the last few weeks, and don't feel too sure about 94 or 95. It's going to be exciting!

For the sake of my blood pressure, I am trying not to follow the standings and OOT scoreboard too closely. But it is difficult.
The others in the race are in desperation mode just the same as us, so the wins should come as no surprise.
I will say that I agree with the post above that I find it extremely annoying when we play a top team that brings its A game to play us and then rolls over the next night for a team we are in a dogfight with.
I wonder if it completely random, or if it has to do with our increased notoriety. The word is out, you had better be ready to play when you play the Flames. The top teams are top teams for a reason and will be ready.

I think its random, You look at how we just beat Anaheim, I assume the other teams were mad that Anaheim didn't take care of teams they should beat.
Calgary is in now if they win the games they should win which starts with the next 4 on this home stand.

I think it's WPG that collapses, and the Flames sneak into a WC spot to play either ANA or STL in Round 1.

Looking at the Flames schedule it is more difficult than I realized. They still have several tough matchups including a 3 games in 4 nights with the Wild, Preds, Stars. They still have the Blues, and Kings one more time each.
They almost have to sweep the rest of this homestand

Either one of those matchups could be a quick playoff for the Flames this year. Oh well, it would be the playoffs at least.
