Burke has stated that ownership has no problem retaining salary so I doubt buy that ownership wouldn't let him thought.

It was a bad deal. Feaster valued the first round pick over more proven prospects (not necessarily a bad move but in hindsight the rumored prospects are very good players). Feaster also valued the extra cap space over retaining salary. He misjudged the cap space value.

I agree it wasn't a great deal. So be it. But the deal as you described it was never even rumored.
Anyways moving on. I just hate re-hasing these same deals over and over again.

Definitely agree on the other players. The Cammy trade was still Jay's best deal. He got the 2 best players in the deal for sure.

3 pages in and I'm literally the first person to comment on Treliving. Ok then...

I'm glad Treliving has stayed the course regardless of the success we've had. I also like how he recognizes that the Flames need to be better coming out of the gate and not just digging themselves in a hole to make a 3rd period comeback.

Overall its been a good year for him. He's been the perfect GM to come in and just stay the course.
