TORONTO, ONTARIO - In an unprecedented move, Toronto Maple Leafs mascot, Carlton the Bear, has asked to be traded.
After another lack luster defeat on home ice, Carlton threw is jersey on the ice in frustration.
“Nobody will do the wave because there are so many suits in the crowd. Kids are crying cause the team is losing. The game isn’t even over and fans are streaming for the exits faster than Phil Kessel back checks, I’ve had enough, I want to be traded to a contender”.

Mirtle: Leafs win over Sabres overshadowed by Kadri’s suspension
"The headlines Wednesday were the latest chapter in a developing, deteriorating story. Leafs president Brendan Shanahan hastily arranged a media availability in the morning and said the team’s promising young centre Nazem Kadri would be suspended an additional two games for off-ice issues, stemming at least in part from a no-show to a team meeting on the weekend.
It was tough love – but it was still love, as the team views Kadri as part of the future.
“We expect a certain level of professionalism,” Shanahan said. “It’s time for him to start making better decisions.
“There’s a history here,” he added."

Obviously deserves a bump with this debacle. Let's see it get waaaaay out of hand, like 11 or 12-1.

Well I'm not sure of that guys reasoning but my gf thinks his name sounds like a dainty fart as well haha. I live an hour north of Toronto and haven't really heard it catch on so I don't know if it's a new nickname or what but perhaps it has.
I guess he is just a silent fart.

That sign is just another example of why a lot of star players don't want to go to the leafs. The guy is the captain of the team and fans of that team are making fun of him. I could see if it was a Flames fan making fun of dion but it's a leafs fan... The team is terrible but the fans are just as bad, seems like a perfect match.

No kidding. Just looking at the smug grin on the guy's face makes me cringe. Total embarrassment to the fan base.
Can someone remind me why they fired Carlyle again? Sure the team played sloppy defense but they did at least score a lot of goals. Now they are a complete train wreck as they can't do anything right including putting pucks in the net. They look like a totally defeated group.
