Tough game, we have them beat on work ethic and defense no doubt. But Varlamov is the wildcard, he's been stealing games for them the past 2 seasons and is why they've been able to get away with an AHL calibre defense. The Russian Kipper.

I have faith in the boys today. If they win today, there will be a lot less pressure against the Blues.

Go Flames Go! Bouma with a few goals as he missed out last night

Yup. Varlamov is on a little hot streak right now. In his last 4 games he has a 1.22 gaa , .967 save%. All 4 wins.

Any word on whether Bouma is getting a call from Player Safety?

No word yet but I doubt it. I don't have a problem with the call last night from the refs. At top speed it looked worse than it did. With replays it shows that Bouma was not sticking out his leg or anything like that.

Here's hoping I agree entirely - wasn't a bad hit at all on review

I'd like them to win. Next game is the Blues, right? Have to bank a few points just in case. Go Flames!

I think I would have felt differently if the Leafs had scored 2 instead of the Flames. To me it looked like a situation where Bouma had him lined up for a shoulder to shoulder hit, Kozun tried to avoid it by stepping to his left and at that speed it's hard for either to avoid contact so he ended up catching legs with Bouma. 2 min for tripping is what I saw. I thought Sill should have received an instigator too. Either way, hope Bouma avoids additional punishment - doesn't seem deserving to me.

C'mon boys. Win tonight would be HUUUUGE.

Varly has been real hot, but so has our offence. The key tonight I think is keeping pucks out of our net.

Anyone going tonight? I am considering it. Need to decide in the next hour to make it in time.

I was in Montana last week, and I was getting 100% clear reception on Fan 960 from Helena to Butte. It started cutting out around Dillon.

I'm in Thailand right now but will be watching this tomorrow at 9am on NHL game centre. Watched the Leafs game this morning and woke up my wife screaming at those short handed goals.

Have a feeling this will be a tight game though. Flames will need to work for the win but I'm going for a 3-2 flames W.
