Yeah it's really bizarre. IMO it's kind of a mob mentality thing as after he was traded fans decided they no longer like him and since he's Phaneuf it seems like booing him is a cool thing to do. He's never said anything bad about the Flames or Calgary and was never at least a public issue when he was a Flame.
