Another great pickup. Another teams player that was lost in a teams system. Shore, Colbourne, Russel, and Shlemko are just four off the top of my head.

Play of the game so far was JVR shooting Kessel in the ankle.

As much flack as Darryl Sutter took for trading Phaneuf, that trade looks like addition by subtraction in hindsight.

Phaneuf needs to get his face smashed in. In the first game this year he kept shoving Granlund to the ice behind the play and being dirty in general. Same #### here

Given our PK prowess, Johnny should seriously tomahawk Phaneuf in the foot. Johnny ain't a PKer anyway, and we'll kill it off easily. Probably even score a shortie.

Watching Phaneuf tonight makes me remember back to the deadline and the whole Phaneuf back to the Flames talk. He would certainly be no fit on this team. Just a plug on the defensive end and cannot skate or make a decent first pass. And the price tag.... aye yai aye.

Stunning to me that some people would take Dion back.

Phaneuf has that type of face that you would love to punch. But he would probably hit back so I would just say that from the safety of my couch.

no kidding I take it all back, no matter the price...I didn't realize he had gotten to this level of suck. Not to mention he is the captain of a team that has completely quit. My guess is he goes to the wings
