AHL Stockton to be known as Stockton Heat. Update: logo and jersey unveiled

The logo is poop but I like the way the US and CA flags look like on the shoulders. A Flaming S would have worked for me. Something like the Spokane Chiefs but with flames..

The US flag should be the other direction too, much like police and military do with the flag when it's on the right shoulder.

That logo looks better against a black background. Like a flames retro jersey but with majority black - like the ol' horsehead jersey.

I get why the AHL affliate is moving out west, but they really did well with the Atlanta logo in Adirondack. Sad to see it go

Possibility that Arizona will join the Western teams? Florida is taking over the Portland (Maine) AHL affiliation. Seems likely that Arizona will end up with San Antonio, but possible they attempt to get a team to move west since I doubt they want to buy a team given their finances.

I think troutman's point is that people were stating that there's no reason to feel unsafe going to the game as long as you stay out of the bad areas and just go to the arena.....This was a 7 person shooting, leaving three dead just blocks from you'd be if you were a fan coming into Stockton to watch a game.

I'm pretty sure you actually need special permission from the US government to display the flag in the 'backwards' military style.

Edit: I'm wrong, if that flag is on the right shoulder, we're supposed to reverse it. To not reverse it is considered a dishonour to the flag.

Also, owning, displaying, or selling a Stockton Heat jersey could now be considered a misdemeanor in the District of Columbia as there is a US flag patch attached to it.
