Dallas. Want to see him play with Benn and Seguin.

Chose Arizona as I will be visiting there quite often during the hockey season so I wouldn't mind watching a good team

Don't care so long as it's not Edmonton.

Columbus could use some good fortune.
The Leaf coverage in this country is already barf-inducing. Add the next Crosby into the mix, and it would get beyond ridiculous.

My initial reaction was Arizona because it would be nice to see the franchise get a cornerstone to help them truly establish themselves in that market around a true face of the league type talent.
I didn't vote that way, however.... If the kid is the real deal, would prefer he stay out of the flames division/conference.
Next best would be buffalo (which is how i voted). That team has so much youth/talent coming down the pipe, could be an awesome team to watch. More importantly, living in TO, I would get to watch him enough, and it would be frigin sweet having the Leafs have to deal with McDavid in-division for the next decade or so

I went Toronto.
They have sucked for years. I'm not a fan, but I think a strong team in Toronto is good for the NHL.
2nd choice would be New Jersey because my son loves them for some reason. Would be fun to watch him be a fan of a player like that.

Columbus and New Jersey are the most "deserving" team on that list. Both are terrible, but they didn't make themselves terrible on purpose.

I'd love to see him in Philly.

I said Carolina, but it would be awesome if Vegas gets an expansion franchise and is awarded first overall pick along with it. Then the tankers would whine about it and the league would say "wait a minute - you were purposely trying to get McDavid? You all said you were trying to win, so you obviously didn't want that pick".

I was mostly joking and him going to LV won't happen, but a guy like McDavid could help grow the game in a new market.
Gretzky in LA
McDavid in LV
Taylor Rain in DP

I really don't care if Edmonton gets him, Toronto, Arizona, whoever (that's not currently in the playoff picture + LA/SJ). Edmonton can draft all these high end players all they want, but they will never amount to much. They're like Brazil in soccer. All sorts of star power individuals. But Germany has a t.e.a.m. I want to rally behind a club, not an ensemble of individuals who will eventually retire.

I went with Philly.
The Flyers are the Flames of the Pittsburgh/Philadelphia rivalry. A team that has had to work for its success and hasn't been gifted superstars the way their rival was.
Plus it keeps McDavid from any western teams.

Another reason to see him in Toronto would be that Toronto-Buffalo drafting 1-2 would mean that you'd get McDavid & Eichel in the same division so we could see a rivalry for the ages where the two of them face off against one another a lot.

Columbus. Great hockey market that's never had a chance. McDavid would fix that, plus it's the East so we don't have to fight for playoffs
