Sounds like the guy is trying to prove a point.

The more I see of Bennett the more I think... What the hell were the oilers thinking passing over this guy?!! The kid seems to have a perma-beast mode.

He arguably should have gone 1/2. And the Oilers passed over him because they're no good morons.

Fronts on the PP again.
First Bennett set up Crouse for a one-timer that should have been a goal. Fronts kept the pressure on and eventually scores. 2nd assist for Bennett.
4-2 Fronts, 1G 2A, late in the 2nd

Just hit the post (after a first period crossbar)
If not for Parsons (London goalie) he could have 6 points in this game

Guy who must be happiest with this is Lawson Crouse... his points were quite low for a top 5-10 guy in the draft. He has 3 points today.

^ He should have 6.
Shots 36-12 after 2. Great game. Fronts dominating obviously, and Parsons has robbed them several times.

The first time I saw Sam Bennett last season I thought, yup, he's the guy I want the Flames to draft. Thought he was the surefire #1 guy, number two if you wanted Ekblad the blueliner.
He's a great talent, but has the drive and jerkface style of play too. Him and Monahan are such different centers but are going to compliment each other so well on our top two lines.

Basically if you were a team with the #1 pick you should have been looking at either of those guys and then deciding based on filling a team need.
Reinhart and Draisaitl?
Sam hasnt even gotten his NHL shot yet. This kid is going to be dynamite.

The chemistry between Monohan and gaudreau has made me think those two could stick together as line mates in the future. Bennett is dynamic like gaudreau and is the guy you want carrying the puck up the ice... Just like gaudreau. Nice to have two guys like that in the top six spread across the two lines. Then again... I salivate at the thought of the speed, skill, and transition game of a gaudreau-Bennett-poirier line in a couple years. Add in Brodie-giordano from the back end and... Full on panic mode for other teams as that unit comes flying up the ice.

Game over in Kingston. 4-3 Frontenacs.
Bennett with 1G 2A and is now 5G 6A in 6 games.
They are 5-1-0 with him in the lineup and are entrenched in 6th place

Doug Gilmour is thanking his lucky stars that Bennett came back to the Frontenacs.

The elite talent Flames have now is great. But they are deep in supporting players too.
A top 20 pick this year will be good too. Flames are set for a long time. If they avoid the gamble that Sutter as GM tried, trading picks for talent to win now, they could be a perenial playoff team and frequent contender.
