It is looking very likely, that we may have won the 2013 draft, Monahan is the real deal, and plays like a 7 year vet.
Depending on how Bennet plays out, we very well may be saying that next year about the 2014 draft.
Bob Hartley has to be a shoe-in for the Adams if the Flames pull off the miracle and get to the post season.
And my theory on these late game wins, is whoever the Flames fitness coach is, he needs a massive raise and extension. They just don't fade late in games.
Anyway, we are so lucky to have what we have. Oiler fans must be watching this constantly throwing up in their mouths.... such an amazing team to cheer for, and even if they lost out the rest the season, we got 10X our moneys worth as fans. So proud to be a Flames fan right now.
Yes Sean, you toast that bread.... toast it good!

The exact same thought process would go into copying the entirety of a newspaper story, and the mods have been very clear that that is not cool. Also, from my experience as a Wikipedia admin, that image would be deleted instantly for the same reason.

#Flames improve to 6-1-1 in the second half of back-to-backs. Hudler's explanation: "We're in good shape...were all young guys."

Much Respect shown to Hudler tonight, with that last goal. He is core and so is Backs.

I think you are 100% right on this. I believe we hired the fitness coach that was with the Kings the previous 3 or 4 years.

Ice time on D was much more reasonable tonight:
Wideman: 26:29
Russell: 26:12
Brodie: 24:08
Engelland: 18:55
Schlemko: 13:35
Diaz: 10:54
Being able to take four minutes away from those top three is huge.

Still can't believe Glencross wanted to leave this team.
The caps aren't cup material. They're a collection of talented individuals. This here, this is a team. And they will get there.

Glencross didn't ask for a trade, the team came to him after they decided they weren't going to resign Curtis based on his market value.
Both sides made it quite clear that the team approached Glencross about being traded.

What about all his being "unsatisfied" talk. Or were more details revealed afterwards? Didn't think they would re-sign anyways, but sure sounded like he wasn't happy here. Maybe I missed additional details but I didn't read any of the threads the day he was traded.

Yea you've got it all mixed up.
They approached him about staying earlier in the season and he wanted too much money and term so essentially both sides agreed it was time for him to move on.

Glencross was simply asked if he was happy with his utilization this season, and he answered honestly by saying no. Every single professional athlete will tell you they want to help the team more.
He also said he was looking forward to being used on the PK in Washington, since he wasn't very often here.
Doesn't mean he wanted out, just that he wanted to help the team more than he was able to / given the chance to down the stretch.
I had no problem with the way the Glencross saga ended. I found it to be refreshingly honest, even from Burke when he came out and said that Curtis and his agent thought they could sign a contract for more money than the Flames were willing to consider re-signing him at.

If Schlemko keeps playing like he has I expect his minutes to be north of 15 soon. Solid so far.

And praise be for that. Curtis for 5 x $4 mill (or more) would be an anchor for this team moving forward.

I just went through our record.
In 35 wins, we gave up the first goal 17 times.
So technically, we have 17 come from behind wins. That doesn't even make sense. And what a testament to the mental make-up of this team.
