I knew exactly what to expect based on the title, yet I still opened both images
That has to be a painful injury. Eating, talking, laughing, any facial expressions are all going to be difficult for a long time

When I was a kid, I was out snowmobiling with another kid who did this. Caught a single barbed wire strand across the face, open faced helmet. Piled into the pickup and drove him to the Three Hills hospital - two fourteen year olds and a fifteen year old driving.
We put a huge ball of clean snow on it right away, and while it was gross it didn't bother us too much until they started stitching him up. That just about made me woof.

Ditto. What the hell is wrong with me? That was disgusting.

I'd say that's downplaying things a bit. He also cut half his face open too! Lips seem minor in comparison.

I've seen a lot of disturbing pictures of Beer League Goalies having similar injuries but I think this one takes the cake.. man, that's gross.

Probably not since it was the end of the championship game. Getting that injury after the last game of the season is a brutal way to go.

That dude is gonna have the most boss scar from that, and if he is any good, will be able to use it massively to his advantage with the opposite sex.

anyone else surprised that his jersey stayed fairly clean? i would have thought a cut that deep would have gushed all over the place.

Well, that is a grotesquely impressive wound. I kind of want to ask the doc that repaired that, all kinds of questions. Reminds me of the (my) kid's foot, in some aspects. Must have closed that face up with layers of stitches, inside and out.

Yeah he might just want to skip over the "during celebration" part....

sucks that the injury did not happen while making a "heroic" shot block with seconds to go......

Are you sure he's a high school student and not a law school student?
Is his name Harvey Dent?
