Yup. We are neither buyers nor sellers at this point (now that our one big UFA is gone). Obviously they should keep their ears to the ground and jump on something if a bargain comes up, but this is not really the time to make good hockey deals for the future.

But that's not fun. Not implying going whale hunting, necessarily. But I'm still waiting for Brad to really make any kind of stamp on the team in terms of acquisitions and fact is our offence is struggling and we gave up a piece up front without bringing anything in exchange.
Not exactly "encouraging" a playoff push if that's our only move.

Nothing really of substance left. Leaf fans were in lala land thinking about returns for Lupul and Phaneuf, but most knew it wasn't realistic.
Media try to make it interesting for the ratings, but the writing was on the wall for this deadline after the week leading up to it.

Ramo's value to the team in the now far exceeds any future value they may have acquired in a trade. Do not forget Ortio is out long term with injury.

I think the Ortio injury was a big contributor to Ramo not being moved. Need two goalies for playoff push

How do you know they aren't going to re-sign him? Maybe jumping the gun a bit? something to re-visit when/if he actually leaves for another club.
