Wonder if that'll stick. They've been itching for a final piece on that line all season.

Would have thought the Caps would have multiple options with their AHL affiliate that would better fill that spot. Strange starting of Glencross' tenure as a Cap indeed.

Alex Prewitt @alex_prewitt Brouwer said Glencross told him today was the most fun he's had in practice all season.

Too bad he missed the part where they played a prank on the media today, that looked like fun.

Not surprising, considering how intense our practices are.

I know only first game, but tonight he was -2 and only 12:10 time on ice. Only two Wash players negative +/- in 5-3 win. 0:35 pp time. Will be interesting to see if start using him more.

The remainder of the regular season for him, with a new team and linemates is likely a wash, (I don't expect anything spectacular).
However, the post-season and next year (wherever he lands) will be more interesting.

Touche.

He can help Washington beat our rivals at least. They play Minnesota twice and Winnipeg once.

The first day at a new workplace is always fun. Then you have a crappy performance and it's just work again...... Or worse......

Not the personal start Glencross was hoping for in Washington; -2 and no points in a 5-3 win against the Blue Jackets for his 1st game.
Oh well, just one game, the team is on a roll and he's been brought in for playoff depth so it should work well.

I've always wondered how tough it is for guys to get in rhythm with teams this focused/in the zone down the stretch. It's obvious there is a massive difference in team dynamic from October to now; am I overestimating the effect this has on new guys trying to sync up? I realize I'm talking about world class professionals, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if chemistry and coached systems developed over the course of a season can trump a fairly substantial amount of talent (initially).

It seems Caps fans liked what they saw, but he's on a questionable 2nd line.

This is a very weird comment. Obviously they don't, or they would have done so throughout the year.
