Wotherspoon missing from Adirondack:

No Hanowski (lower-body, day-to-day), Hathaway or Wotherspoon on the ice. (or Ortio, Culkin obviously)
Only a 5 hour drive from Philly to Adirondack

Given that the NHL Flames are a five-hour drive away in Philly, I'd guess that means Wotherspoon's reassignment is a paper transaction.

Sorry if its been posted, but Sportsnet's twitter just suggested the Leafs are trying hard to trade Kessel. Where and for how much I wonder? San Jose has the space and assets to make it work, could do with some help to boost their flagging play off charge. Can see that being a likely destination.

rosters can expand after 1pm today, so they may intend to carry Wotherspoon and platoon he with Shlemko et al in Giordano's absence.
Treliving hinted at that yesterday.
I think "falling out of favour" comments from Wills were pretty sketchy.
