Sam Bennett/Kingston Frontenacs discussion

I'm at the game for the first period or so. Not much samage yet.

Saw Sam come charging down the wing already. Has looked good and fired off a shot in this period too.

Bennett takes a shot at someone after a whistle on the power play, standing up for Crouse I think, and the camera doesn't pan there but shows the reaction of the teammates instead. so dumb

Second period finished. 2-0 Petes. Bennett came dangling in but nothing to show for it - Fronts can't buy a goal right now.

I do like Bennett's policy for punching people in the face. No hesitation.

Bennett's an amazing puckhandler and playmaker with a nice shot. He dominates his shifts, and doesn't have any weaknesses in his game. Should have a couple of points already.

Bennett and a Pete almost take shots at each other but Bennett falls backwards clumsily into the net. haha

Fronts drop to the Petes 4-1. Bennett with a strong game, looked good out there despite the minus numbers. Fronts as a team couldn't get anything going at all and their one goal slipped past the goalie before the whistle blew.

while he looked good out there offensively, his backchecking would probably have needed to be more aggressive to impress Hartley. Not blaming him though, the shifts were way too long on a back2back to get the best out of him.

watched a little of each period, saw two of the goals against Sam, lost his guy coming back into his zone, didn't seem to be moving his feet either, gliding back in not paying attention, so it seemed. Like I say, didn't see much but that's what I noticed on the minuses.

You should know I'm one the biggest Bennett supporters on CP, I pegged him as the #1 overall 2014 prospect long before the flames drafted him and still think he will turn out as the best player from that draft.
