A bit of all... In general, I find polyester-based fabrics too hot and always try to stay with cottons as much as possible.

Comfort thing, I could totally understand. It was such a different feeling after eons of wearing compression gear to try on a pair of Saxx.

The latter reason, I would just have to laugh at.

Cotton is good for day to day, but aweful for any type of exertion.

I wouldn't say awful. Not as long-lasting – yes, for sure. For example, Mark's Work Warehouse sells $22 "Cycle Briefs"; they are 95% cotton and they are excellent for workouts for about one year. Then they deform quite a bit. Synthetic fabrics do last longer, for sure.

I wasn't talking longevity I was talking performance.

I am talking about how they hold onto sweat when you run/play sports.

If you are doing any back country stuff they are aweful, hard to clean/slow to dry.

I workout wearing shorts with cotton cycle briefs underneath. Sweat absorption is not a problem.

I love Saxx underwear, such a simple concept, but makes a big difference.

Slowly converting to Saxx, up to 5-6 pairs now! few more would be perfect.

The cotton blend thing is one reason I lean to the MyPakage 4-5 days a week and wear Saxx 2-3 days a week, depending what I'm doing. If it's just a regular work day, the former. If its a day with some walking and such, then I use the latter.

As I've already said in this thread, the discount for CP from me is greater than anything u can find online. We carry over 1000 pairs (no fiesta though)

Edit: that's where the cost difference comes from is the fabric type.

You haven't told us the name of your shop though. Total help given = 0.

I just ordered more for my husband online. He now has probably 12 pairs.

I own 7 pairs, and are replacing the the Joe Boxer with them as they get worn through.

Easily the most comfortable underwear I have worn, and the athletic underwear is great for hockey.

Can I look you up next time I am out there?

The boy plays lacrosse in Stettler every spring.

Maybe we could meet at the White Goose for a coffee.

For sure, however the white goose had a fire a bit back so who knows when it will reopen, might have to settle for Tim's or Coffee Tree. My shop is the big black/gold building on main street, called John's.

I feel like this is the run-up to a joke or something, but it's not clicking.

In any case, knowing some of the girls I dated in my younger years, the sort of synthetic fibers my balls are coming into contact with is no big deal.
