I get how some of you could see gold instead of black due to how the light is reflecting off the black meshy parts, but the damn thing is blue!

I'm convinced of the opposite...I don't see how anyone could see the gold as black. The blue, yes, but to me the trip is clearly gold/copper.

That's awesome.
When I first saw the picture, I was sure it was white and gold. But after several viewings, I played with the screen brightness on my computer and could see that it was obviously blue and black. I went and did something else for a while and came back and looked again. For a second or two it was white and gold, but then quickly looked blue and black. Now when I see it, I can no longer interpret white and gold!

The white isn't a true white, it's kind of a dull white with a tiny hint of blue but not enough for me to call it blue at first.

I still think this is the biggest collective troll job of the year (or maybe decade).
Clearly blue and black. Viewed on multiple screens last night and this morning.

At first I was convinced it was gold and light blue and now all I see is black and blue.
I think I am having a stroke.

Last night on my ipad it was clear white and gold. Like not even blue (brighter screen, and the picture was on black).
On calgarypuck this morning, I saw medium blue and gold (darker contrast on this monitor, whitish background). I read the last page of the thread, than go back to the first page, it's now deeper blue and...black

I cropped the entire top section of the dress. Photoshop color picker says gold or brown.
I'm aware it's a black and blue dress (apparently). This crappy picture however is gold and light blue/nearly white.
Don't take my word for it. That's Photoshop results. And Photoshop doesn't have human eyes and a brain to be tricked .

So interesting to see this all fold out over something as simple as a dress color. Pretty cool though!
I can bounce between the colors. When I first saw the picture, it was clearly white and gold, eventually after looking at it a few more times, it was blue and black. But! I can actually switch it back to white and gold when I stare at the over exposed portions for a while.

I can change the colour on a whim now. if I look at the top part, it's white/gold, but if I look below it, it's blue/black.

I see white and gold in every instance- on any device or monitor, whether it is a small thumbnail picture or full size, and even if it is just a small section of the photo.
I think most of us seeing white and gold can sort of understand seeing a little blue instead of white, but how on earth anyone is seeing black instead of gold is mystifying.

I can understand the white/blue debate based on people assuming different lighting. But I have no idea how any of you could see black over gold.
edit: to answer the question, I see neither. It is blue and gold. The rest of you are taking crazy pills.
