I like how you don't even bother to list Buffalo. Hahaha.

I don't know how my heart is going to handle checking the OOT every night over the next month.

Ottawa managed to shut out Anaheim on the pond last night, that was no help to us whatsoever.....I am sure they will lay an egg against the Kings tonight though.

Been the trend lately with most teams on the Cali road trip/

Beat ANA
Lose to LAK
Lose to SJS

Well the Ducks have been slumping as the only teams they have beaten of late is the Alberta teams.

I guess the question now isn't if the Canucks are going to make the playoffs but if they will get home ice as they have taken care of business on their eastern road swing and tonight should be an easy two points. It would really suck if STL DET, and NAS lay eggs tonight but that has been the theme on the OOT scoreboard as good teams have been laying eggs against the teams the Flames are in the running with for the last few playoff spots.

Who knows, I always expect the worst when it comes to OOT scores, especially with the way it's gone the last month or so, but....

Van handled NYR and NYI pretty easily, then got worked by a struggling Bruins team (bailed out by their goalie) and then lost to lowly NJD.

Pretty much the opposite of what you'd expect, hopefully that trend continues tonight.

My thing with Minnesota is that hot streaks are common, but a 1.5 GAA is not sustainable. They didn't just learn to score. They're playing with a lot of confidence. In their last 10 they're 7-2-1. However, against playoff teams in that 10 game stretch (Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary) they are 1-1-1 with their only win being in overtime against us. They're better than their old record, but they're not the hot team they have even this last bit either

They have a tough remaining schedule so we will find out exactly how good they are as if they make the playoffs they will have definitely earn it.

Minnesota has played 18 games since acquiring Dubnyk. In those 18 they've played Buffalo, Arizona, Edmonton 3x, Columbus, Carolina, Colorado, Dallas.

So 9 games against bad teams and 9 against good or at least competitive teams.

It's a good thought to figure they are in for a stiffer ride the rest of the way. But they looked darn good against the Flames.

They got 2 wins against us, but one was in overtime and the other was a 1-0 win. Neither being overly impressive. Flames still had their chances and Dubnyk might have a stretch of good games but he's no Carey Price.

I just don't see a team becoming a competely different team vs a much more common explanation of riding a hot goalie. Their GF/60 went up, their shooting% went up, and none of that has to do with goaltending.

They did? If not for dubnyk standing on his head they would have lost.

To me they are Rangers west. I don't see them missing... They have made the playoffs the past 2 years. MIssing now would be an anomaly. Their latest hot streak is IMO more of a correction to the norm. We should just focus on staying ahead of SJ

I look at it as "MISSION: 13W"

We get 13 more wins, and we are golden. Saves the stress of OOT scoreboard watching.

I'd say 15 wins would be "golden".

"Golden" should mean no matter what, we're pretty much guarnteed a spot.

100+ points is more than "golden"
