I wouldn't mind something along the lines of Glencross and a 4th for Rattie. I think you have to sweeten the deal a little bit to get prospects that are 22 that are pretty much scoring at the same pace. We have enough 4th round pick type of players. and we need some more proven prospects.

It's looking like it. Rattie wasn't thrown into the NHL like Sven was.

So I read in the other topic that Hanowski was not skating today. How funny would it be if he was added to a deal to make it work.

Remember how everyone was saying Bart was the one stirring the drink on that line in Portland. I guess we are about ready to eat crow on that one.

That's because he was.. Baertchi has regressed tremendously in this past year. If you watch Junior highlights, all you see is Rattie scoring empty net goals courtesy of sweet Baertchi plays.

No we're not. Baertschi WAS the one stirring the drink.
We will see how they both progress and how their careers eventually unfold, but that doesn't change what they were in Portland

Uh, Baertschi WAS an awesome junior player, and his last year there he "stirred the drink" as much as (or more than) anyone else on that team.
Maybe Rattie has progressed more since then (debatable), still doesn't change the fact that Baertschi was an awesome junior player.

Why are you saying that?
Rattie:
77 Pts in 120 AHL Games.
0.64 PPG in AHL
1 assist in 6 NHL Games
Baertschi:
77 Pts in 107 AHL Games.
0.72 PPG in AHL
28 Pts in 66 NHL Games.
Baertschi > Rattie.
The very idea that Rattie has progressed more than Sven is nothing more than fans thinking the grass is greener on the other side.

That's just not true. Did he suddenly them learn how to score when there was a goalie in the net in the AHL?
Baertschi was a very good junior player. So was Rattie. There were tons of posts on how Rattie only scored because of Baertschi, but somehow he kept scoring in the AHL.
Rattie is a good player all on his own

So then if some said Baertschi was the one stirring the drink, why would you say "the opposite".
Is it fair to say that they were both "stirring the drink" then?

Not sure Why we want to add another smallish forward. Rattie is redundant on the flames.
