I'm probably beating a dead horse at this time, but I did say this team reminded me of the '85-86 one. Here's yet another reason.

Gotta give Glencross some props, I thought he looked really poor in the 1st period but came on and played pretty well the rest of the way. Played with some intensity, which I haven't seen from him for a while. Good for him.
Ramo was awesome, again.
Felt like Johnny could have had 3 or 4 points tonight, he played well.

That Glencross goal really got the team going heading into the 3rd. The game was slowing to a crawl in the 2nd and it looked like the Flames may have been heading towards another shutout loss up until that point. Once again, the team played great in the 3rd and pulled it out.
I'll be looking into all sorts of possibilities, but the damage was just discovered a few days ago and my doctor has ordered an MRI to get a more accurate idea of what's going on. At that point I'll be working with him to figure out what might help, and what things I should avoid lest they do further damage.
Meanwhile, anybody who wants a broken neck can borrow mine; as long as they leave me my windpipe, and also my spinal cord (since neither my brain nor my body is equipped with wifi).
Wow, best of luck to you. I had a fracture in my C2 almost 13 years ago, scary stuff.

The really scary thing, for me, is that I've been carrying this damage around for a couple of years already. Best guess is that I cracked a cervical vertebra when I fell down a flight of icy concrete stairs. The fall also knocked me out, so I thought for a long time that I was just suffering from post-concussion syndrome and maybe whiplash. I was taken to hospital last summer with incapacitating neck and head pains, but they inexplicably failed to notice the damage to my spine. They sent me home and told me to take ibuprofen, but of course, the pains continued.
I'm just glad my current doctor finally seems to be on the right track.
(By the way, on those days when I am a real pain in the neck here on CP, it's often because I am passing on the pain in my own neck. I don't mean to, but it makes me grouchy, and I can neither work nor sleep until I get over it – so I have a bad habit of being a nuisance online instead. Apologies to all.)

I'd say there could be legit concern on Gio. Looked real awkward. Hopefully just a sprain, maybe sit out until the Flyers game.
Glencross most important goal of the season in my opinion. Gave the team a boost going into third and they scored early. Being behind going into thrid would've been tougher to comeback mentally from given these last few games and some self doubt creeping in, and they needed this win or they'd be looking at a 5 game streak with the Isles in two days. And now with Gio concerns, amplifies win more.

Now I feel really guilty at laughing at the end of your quote. I'm going to hell.

I'm hoping for a Rookie of the Year scenario with Gio, where his arm injury inexplicably turns his slapshot into an absolute howitzer, twice as fast as Charas, leaving opponents diving out of the way and blowing the goalie back over the goalline with the puck embedded in his helmet ala Fulton Reed.
Then in game 7 overtime of the Stanley Cup Finals Giordano is hauled down on a breakaway by a jealous Chara, landing hard on the same arm and popping it back to it's proper spot, which unbeknownst to all, negates his newfound power.
On the subsequent penalty shot to win Lord Stanley, Giordano winds up as the crowd braces and Gio unleashes an absolute muffin, fooling a stunned Tuukka Rask, floating the puck in past his over-eager glove. The Saddeldome erupts in joyous bedlam as Rask snaps, breaking his stick over the crossbar before scooping up Gaudreau in his catchers mitt and scaling the glass like a rabid King Kong.
Or, Giordano turns out to be just fine and plays Friday.
Either option is fine.

“Until I get the call that says I’m something different, I’m a Flame,” said Glencross, who was among those diving to block shots late in the game. “We’ll see what happens. I don’t know what’s going to happen.
“Right now, I’m here to win hockey games and help my team any way I can. That’s the bottom line.”
Quote:
“It’s only two points, but they’re a little bigger than others,” said Flames forward Joe Colborne, whose backhand saucer-pass set up the Glencross goal. “That was a gut-check after a tough loss (Tuesday) night.”
“We need to stay in the race,” Hartley added. “There’s not a better thing for team confidence than winning road games, especially after (Tuesday) night’s game. Two games in two nights, and we respond with that kind of effort.”
