Man, I really would love to see something around Galiev or Orlov. Orlov has a 2m cap hit for the next two years and has RFA rights still. Galiev is a good sized RW. Both of which the Flames could surely need.

Better be a lot more than just Jay Beagle. A perennial 15+ goal scorer for a 29 year old who's never had 20 points.

Agreed on Orlov. I don't know much about the Caps system outside of Bowey but I know he is not coming here for Glencross. Picks work fine for me as well. With the Flames in NY/NJ they could get Sven here pretty quick. I guess Bollig is around as well

As it stands today, that'd be:
Glencross + 46th pick
FOR
*20th pick
*potentially as low as 30th, depending on playoffs
That's probably pretty fair value-wise. If it ended up being in that 20ish range, it's a great deal. If the Caps are one of the final 4 teams, and the pick falls to the 27th-30th range... it's likely still a good deal for us. This is all assuming we believe Glencross' value, alone, to be a 2nd round pick.

However much the Caps value Brower is how much they should value Glencross. They are pretty much the same player with the same style of play.

Orlov broke his wrist at the WC last spring and was slated to be ready for the season.....yet hasn't played a game anywhere yet in 2014/15.
Doubt we'll be trying to get him.

I don't equate the two.

1. My capitals fans didn't come from HFboards it came from some guys on JapersRink.
2. My posts aren't really anything special... just get a twitter feed if fan speculation annoys you so much.

Had another surgery I think. Still, If you're building towards next season and beyond, Orlov is certainly something you can take a shot at. I mean as long as his career is not in jeopardy from his wrist injury.

Haha. Just wait until Glencross is dealt to the Caps for Beagle and a 6th. Then it'll get really ugly.

What's the appetite for Tom Wilson? He's been in Trotz's doghouse for quite some time now.

Look up their career stats. Glencross has even had the better career. The only thing Brouwer has on Glencross right now is term on his contract.

Hard to imagine them trading him, but if they did, I would love to get him. Tough, young, 6'4 right winger with some offensive ability? Yes please.
