That list shows how weak the rental market is this year. Glencross is a bit low but really you could interchange most of those guys and it wouldn't matter. No one really stands out.

TSN has always had a hate on for the Flames, and I'd imagine even more so now that they don't ever broadcast them.
I wouldn't read too much into it.

LeBrun is reporting the Kings want a forward to replace Pearson.
Would the Flames trade Glencross to LA?

Age shouldn't really be a factor when talking about rentals.

I think they should be open to it. McKeown realistic?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Where the team is at I think you take the best deal from the team on his list. If that is LA's offer you take it.

I'd definitely trade Glencross to LA. I think the Kings are taking a playoff spot regardless and I don't think we should make decisions based on this year anyways. McKeown would be great but I think we would need to add a bit to get it done.

I agree. Like most others have said, it's all about building a contender, not a team that battles for the last few playoff spots every year. The fact that we're even in the same realm as the LA Kings this year is a success to me.

If anyone adds, it's LA. McKeown+2nd would be fair. Personally I'd tell LA they need to give up Kempe for Glenny if they really want him. They're a division rival directly battling with us for the playoffs. Can't help them ease the knife in, they have to pay a premium.

McKeown and a 2nd is ludicrous. A slightly lesser player in Bergenheim just got traded for a measly third, and Florida still had to throw in a late rounder.
Temper your expectations.

That would be my price for LA as we are directly fighting with them for a playoff spot. Just a 2nd from an eastern team would suffice. Did you even read my whole post?

Yep. You still ain't getting that package. A 2nd rounder is about the best we could hope for. Freidman and Duhatschek agree with me, too.

Id like mckeown he's best friends with Bennett and is a good offensive dman that could play with wotherspoon in the future on the number 2 pairing.

I would love it if we started looking at trading some of our non-core players, when we have replacements ready to go on the farm. Generally not looking at Glencross as the end game, but as part of a greater whole.
If we believe in Drew Shore, why not go for the gold and sacrifice a player to get Forbort, instead of McKeown?
There are some locally loved players here, of the Colborne, Jooris and Granlund variety that I would reluctantly give away for someone who would be immediately our best defensive prospect. We would probably also garner a pick with a decent package.
And not necessarily from L.A., but just pushing us into that next tier of return, from whatever team. There is a lot of talk about what we can get for Glencross, but I hope Treliving can work some magic.

Well, arguably he didn't do that tonight.
