Icon31 Kings re-sign Nolan to 3 year deal ($950k AAV)

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
LAK have signed Jordan Nolan to a three-year contract extension with an AAV of $950K.

Good low risk signing for the Kings. Nolan's been a great depth guy for them.

Sure why not. I'll be surprised if he has a long NHL career though. The very definition of a "crash and bang" winger, with very little else to add to a lineup.

Pretty low risk contract and probably easy to unload if necessary. Most teams would take a 1 million winger who can play 10-12 aggressive minutes.

Very true, that was what Treliving was hoping for in Bollig.

So Bouma is twice the player Nolan is...so does he get 2 million based on a contract like this one? I would think that would be a fair deal for a bottom 6 guy, RFA. Or does he get more?

I would say Bouma easily gets $2 million/year on his next contract. He's made a lot of progress this year.

Bouma will get a deal similar to what Glencross had IMO - AAV will be somewhere between 2.2-2.6M, 3-4 years.

Nolan fits the Kings style, 3 years fro a player of his ilk represents a lot of security, since bottom 6 wings tend to be the easiest position to replace, and his style is more likely to lead to injury. Win-win for team and player
