1-4!! That's a world record to start the innings. Terrible fielding display as well.
Russell's knock was awesome though. 42 in 13 and took 3 wickets.

This is the best New Zealand team I've ever seen. The 1992 team did well with Martin Crowe at the helm, but they have always been the perennial underdog. McCullum oozes confidence and aggression, this is most obvious when he's out there to bat, but even more important for me is his captaincy choices in the field. The Aus vs NZ game next week should be a barn burner.

Another dominant performance by Team India beating South Africa by 130 runs. Now they have a possibility of going 6-0 in Group stage matches.

India absolutely demolished SA today, a superlative performance at bat (except for the last few overs), and a dominating fielding display. South Africa crumbled under pressure, but India gave no quarter.
They certainly have moved up into the group of favourites with Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand is a formidable side, Australia is going to have its hands full in their round robin.

Afghanistan posted 232 then had Sri Lanka at 0 for 2 and 54 for 4 yesterday but then let them escape.
It would be hilarious if England lost to Scotland today.

I would totally be watching this if they didn't insist on $180 for it. And no, I can't be damned to find an illegal stream.
When does IPL start?

I think Rogers has totally messed this up. Yeah I know the matches are 9 hours long and in the middle of the night but what else is there to show in the middle of the night. They've already paid for the rights. They have hired people to do a daily/weekly 60 minute recap show. There is no way they are recouping anything charging $180 for maybe 20 good matches out of 49. PUT IT ON REGULAR TV! Nobody watches OMNI. Make it the overnight cricket channel. Go around Toronto and get Indian and Pakistani businesses to advertise on it. Cricket is a huge sport, they just have no idea. Anyone who gives it a chance falls in love with it. Just listen to the commentators alone is fun.
They used to show IPL and now they got it on that idiotic SNWorld channel that's losing everything.

Well, Sportsnet had one or two IPL matches a week last year on the main channels, so if they keep it that way this year, I'm fine with that.

Zimbabwe vs West Indies.
Zimbabwe got a wicket on the 2nd ball and celebrated. Then they nearly got Gayle with an LBW appeal.
Then?
Absolute carnage! West Indies finish the innings, 372-2. Wicket on the last ball. 372 is not a record. However the following records fall:
372 - highest partnership in ODI history
215 Gayle - first ever double century at the World Cup, 3rd highest in history, also first ever non-Indian to get a double century.
16 Sixes Gayle - tied for most Sixes in an ODI innings. He went for the record on the final ball and got caught.

So Gayle returned to form in a big way. He only had scores of 30+ thrice in his last 19 innings.

Afghanistan got their first ever world cup win today in incredibly exciting fashion. They managed to beat Scotland's total of 210 with only 1 wicket and 3 balls to spare.
In the other game today Sri Lanka has put up a big total of 332. I can't see Bangladesh coming any where near that in their innings.

Wish I could have watched that AB de Villiers show.
162 off of 66 balls.
Batted for 34 runs and 30 runs in two of the last three overs.
West Indies to chase South Africa's 408.

Guys like AB, Gayle, Warner, Afridi, Maxwell, Russell, McCullum are a treat to watch when they're on.
AB 162 not out, WI 151 All out. Not a contest.

Clash of the current Titans as Kiwis play Aussies.
Aus 68 for 1 after 10 overs. Kinda sad the pitches in Aus/Kiwis have become so batsmen friendly.
Just like that its now 104 for 7. This is Kiwis coming out party. Wow, they look good.
