Sounds like someone has been looking ahead or reading the comics.

I think we need more hot chicks in shirt shorts, but that is just me.

It's too bad Milton was already in the show, I think that actor would have made a really good Eugene.

So, uh, this thread is good for spoilers from the comics, right?
Right?
Just making sure before I say this...
TAINTED MEAT!!!
You'd think the Termites would have developed a protocol for checking that a person hasn't been bitten before they start barbecuing. Sure, they're no longer at Terminus, but they should still maintain those protocols.
Of course, I'm just assuming that's where the storyline is going. Last week on Talking Dead, they said that they were going to incorporate more storylines from the comics this season than they did last year.

Haven't read the comics, but I definitely thought this last night. Especially given Bob's behavior after going under the water in the foodbank basement.

I guess it depends how long they had been without food for. They had it pretty easy food wise back at their camp, so even if it was a few days without any food they would be getting really hungry.

Bump since all the comic talk issues in the TV thread.
Spoiler in case a TV fan pops in here by accident.

Robert Kirkman, Lauren Cohan, and Josh McDermitt were on the comedy show @Midnight yesterday.
In a bit where they were told to make up spoilers for this season, Robert Kirkman used it as an opportunity to really spoil something huge that happens in the comic timeline soon:
There were audible gasps, likely from the few audience members that knew the comic's story. Josh McDermitt thought it was hilarious that he "spoiled" it.

It would kind of suck to "Know your fate" ahead of time.

That's great. Now, the question is, does that mean it will actually happen on the show the way it did in the comics, or did he say that because that's not what will happen on the show?
Very little of what happened in the comics happens the exact same way on the show (among other things)...

True, but like Hockeyguy15 said "in case a TV fan pops in here by accident."
And to be fair, both threads have the word spoilers in them, so someone could easily open this thread and read a few posts without realizing they were in the wrong one.

Why does the comic book spoilers thread have AMC in the title? I opened this thinking it was the TV show thread and spoiled myself a bit because I wasn't paying attention. There's nothing in the thread title to even suggest talking about the comics, so until that changes it would probably be a good idea to keep the spoilers tagged

Man I am horrible at naming threads. Maybe a mod could edit it for us?

To be fair, there was no need for 2 threads at first so the name made sense at the time.

it's a lot easier with the Game of Thrones and Song of Ice and Fire threads being named so differently, to avoid accidental spoilery clicks (although there are waaayy more problems with spoiler happy posters in that TV thread than for Walking Dead).
maybe this one could be renamed A Song of Zombies and Headshots, I dunno. The AMC prefix is definitely a bad thing though.

Negan is coming, Glen is dead this season. Finally figured out where they are picking up in the comics. This is the last remotely interesting part I read, so I can see them killing another season after this dealing with Negan... but after that I hope the show is retired.

In the comics, Aaron appears at the end of issue 67 and Negan isn't mentioned until issue 96. There's still plenty of story for them to cover if they want to follow the comics.
If Negan is introduced this early into the show's storyline, Rick and the group have no attachment to Alexandria or the idea of establishing some semblance of a normal life, so they have no reason to fight back when Negan's people come after Alexandria. They would just look at him and see another Governor-type situation and leave.
I'd be surprised if Negan's name is mentioned for at least a year. There are only 5 episodes left this season, and they still need to decide if they want to stay in Alexandria, and the leaders in Alexandria need to decide if they want them to stay. That will likely take the rest of the season.

The Alexandria story can be decent if they follow the comics.
Ricks group assimilates after some issues over guns and privacy. They join "workgroups" and Eugene start making bullets. There's also the massive Zombie attack where they breach the walls, Rick cuts his ladyfriends hand off so she'll let go and Carl get shot in the face.
I could see them killing off Abraham this season which would effectively start the Negan story arc IIRC.
