We're having trouble playing a full 60 minutes.

Funny we show up in the first for a change and fizzle out by the 3rd.

I didn't catch the game on tv, but did listen to the first period radio broadcast.

Was the cross check on Gaudreau borderline 5 and a game?

Did Bollig do anything to hold Stoner accountable or does he continue his facade?

No. It was just a crosscheck. Borderline terrible was the Flames powerplay and 3rd period collapse. Getting pretty worried as this team has played a few of its worst games of the season in the last few weeks as they seem to be on a win one by coming back followed by losing a stinker. First two lines have been pretty awful for a couple of weeks now and if not for Bouma there's not a lot of positives with the forward group. Looks to me like a team that is coming down to earth while the teams around them are ramping up their games.

Based on what I saw, more than borderline, but I was at the game and I'd like to see it again to be sure. That game definitely left a bad taste in my mouth in terms of penalties not called, and was the first time all year I really felt our lack of size/toughness.

One thing that stood out to me especially was watching Johnny shy away from any kind of contact, and the Ducks chasing after him with crosschecks and the like any time he came near. Wasn't sure if they were targeting him specifically, or if that was just their gameplan in general, but to me it was very noticable, and basically took him out of the game.

Definitely.

Crosschecks rarely get a review but what made this one bad was the fact that Gaudreau was facing the boards, a couple feet away (i.e. one of the most dangerous situations), and Stoner was looking right at his numbers.

Sent Gaudreau flying face-first towards the boards - exactly the kind of situation that can cause a neck injury, which is why the NHL is trying to clamp down on it.

What part of the "truculent mantra" let's our star prospect get drilled and leaves it to the refs to settle?

I must have missed that

bollig does not bring anything to the team

he doesn't chip in, he's not a defensive specialist, he doesn't play the tough guy role at all. id rather have someone from airdirondac who has a future with the team be up with the club
