I feel that Kunitz isn't that good of a player. His stats are because of Crosby.

From a strictly hockey sense, I think the team is ready to move on and has shown multiple times this year that they have some other players who can step in. With Bouma's recent scoring touch, he now is a better "Glencross" anyway.
As a Calgarian though, I'll miss him. Glencross does a ton for local charities and is a constant visitor to the Children's Hospital. He showed up at a small fundraiser for a young player I know going through cancer treatment this year, and was the utmost in class and kindness. Definitely changed my opinion of him for the better.

Did he play with Crosby in Anaheim?

Dean Molberg @fan960boomer#Flames asked Glencross for a list of teams he'd join via trade. I'm hearing he's now asked to be dealt. Could be he's played his last game.

For me it was the Dec 16(?) game at home vs the Rangers, Glencross scores in the final minute to make it 5-2 (for the Rangers) and go goes off celebrating as if he just tied it up, giving the "come on hands" to the thin air and then high giving the bench on the fly by. No one else on the ice shared in his celebration as they all new they had lost and that goal meant absolutely nothing. To me it seemed quite clear there were 19 team guys and 1 me guy dressed that night, one guy who was okay with losing, a hold over from the pre Hartley era. I do not think he will be missed on the ice or in the dressing room.

That seems to indicate that Penguin fans feel that Kunitz has even to negative value. From a Flames perspective adding a LW and subtracting a RW makes no sense.

Dude wants to win a cup and now wants a trade. Send him to Toronto so he can watch the Flames win a cup without him.

Hard to hate on Glencross even if he asked for a trade. He left a lot of money on the table last contract negotiation.

Dean Molberg @fan960boomer · 3m 3 minutes ago @FriedgeHNIC on our show suggested Glencross's list of teams he'd accept was small. He's expanded that list to get it done.

Playing with Crosby has benefits. He went from a .61 PPG player to a .8 PPG player.

Best case scenario appears to be a 2nd plus prospect.
Perron fetched a 1st but he had term left on his deal.

Also Glencross' NTC may drive price down.

Hoping to get that 2nd though.
