Whoo, personally I'm pumped at having another open spot to have our young guys battle for.. Let's let Bennett / Wolf / Baertschi / Granlund battle!
Get the healthy competition going again with players who would be pumped to be here.

Fed passes from Malkin I think GlenX would put up better numbers than Perron.

Do the Pens have a 2nd rounder this year?
Would they even want Glencross after aquiring Perron?

I don't think Pittsburgh really needs another left winger, though.

A Western will have to overpay a lot to get him I think. I think ANA would have to give a young D and a 1st to get GlenX, no? It would have to be stupid good.
IMO he goes to PIT or Tampa. Should be easier to get a deal done with them. I'd expect that to be a kid plus a 2nd.

Pittsburgh seems to disagree, considering they asked about Glencross.

My own .02 cents is that while I used to love Glencross for the way he played for a number of years, he has not been that same player for some time.
He has been a warrior and even took a discount to stay, but you can tell by his play lately that something is off. He seems to get beyond frustrated and knocked off the play or gives up the puck almost every time I try and concentrate on him.
Something is going on, and he may just need a change of scenary. Wish him the best whatever happens to him.

Glencross has a history of biting his old teams in the ass.
He's an emotional, vengeful man. One of the reasons I wouldn't mind keeping him personally.

I hope he goes to Tampa or Pittsburgh!
It has to be tempting to play with Stamkos or Crosby to pad his stats for the next contract.

Teams can't let that type of thought rule their decisions.
While it might be good to send him east, if the offer came from the west and it was right, I would hope the Flames would take it.

I can't see him waiving for the Islanders, but they have a number of D prospects that might work (they don't have much in the way of draft picks).

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Perron is a right handed shot, who has played his off wing on the left side previously. The Pens have him playing right wing since they traded for him however.
Hornqvist and Comeau have picked up the slack but with Dupuis out I'd imagine there is room for another winger.

you can if the offer is crap
i.e. no way in hell I'd trade Glencross to Anahaim, Winnipeg, SJ, LA, etc for a 4th round pick.

I'm sure he thought that with Cammy gone, he could fill the void and score a lot of goals in his contract year ... but it really all went south for him this season, to be honest. Gaudreau came in and locked down a LW spot ahead of him, other wingers went through good stretches too and now Lance Bouma stole his minutes. Surely not the contract year he was hoping for.
With Sven and Poirier still in the pipeline, I think the Flames can move on. Hopefully a change of scenery will help Glencross, I've always liked him and I was beyond excited when he re-signed 4 years ago. I think he'd be a great fit with some Eastern teams.

David Clarkson got a 7 year contract. Teams are always willing to overpay for free agents, for some reason.
