The Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite is a great card and you can still get a free $100 gift card for new customers (PM me if you want the link)
Good advice! Thanks!
I got the $100 gift card which was just a cherry on top of the cake since I was planning on getting the card anyways!

So what is the best option for Mastercards?

Already have a travel Visa as our primary card, so this would just basically be our Costco card for food and gas.

We use a PC Mastercard right now, but would the Costco one be better for that purpose?

The top mastercard used to be the capital one aspire travel world mastercard but they stopped offering it about a week ago. Interesting to see if Amex offers a competitive rewards card since their deal with Costco expires next year.

What type of rewards are you looking for (cash back, travel, etc)?

If you spend a decent amount each month on gas/groceries you may want to consider the Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite that pays 4% cash back on gas/groceries.

Also, you mentioned travel - have you considered the Amazon Rewards Visa? The rewards are ok but the key feature is that it doesn't charge for foreign exchange conversion. Most cards add an extra 2-2.5% for foreign currency transactions which can really add up if you travel frequently and you a credit card to make purchases.

Have a TD Infinite Travel Visa now - and that is our primary card for everything but Costco.

I didn't think any travel rewards on a new MC could be combined with our TD travel rewards, so that is why I was looking for some other option in terms of rewards.

For cash back - Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite is king.

For travel rewards - you may want to check out the CIBC Aventura, TD First Class or BMO World Elite. The new Capital One Aspire Travel World Elite card isn't nearly as good as the one that was recently replaced.

I use the WJ RBC Mastercard, 99$ yearly fee but also includes 99$ companion fee everywhere but Hawaii and so far I like it.

I also have the TD Aeroplan Visa - I used to enjoy Aeroplan but with the fuel surcharge that AC tacks on to Europe it makes Aeroplan alot less appealing.

Just booked a trip to Europe on Aeroplan and it cost us $751/reward ticket. We could have booked KLM and to there for 999 so i think this is probably the last year I am using the Aeroplan card. Hawaii or domestic seems like the only place to use Aeroplan and yet other than Hawaii, WJ flies everywhere I would want domestically.

Aeroplan miles are good for Canada or US long haul flights. You can also find some good deals to Australia or southeast Asia.

ProTip: I swapped my MBNA World SmartCash from getting cashback cheques to just crediting my bill for the rebate, but they've kindly kept giving me the cheques as well. How generous of them.

For master card, Capital one is good for travel rewards, and Smart cash is good for cash rebates.

I could not believe it when I saw this. It is too generous. Amex is really trying hard to gain customers.
Is this one still alive?

RBC Avion Visa for my wife and I. She was with Aero Plan and was a pain in the butt to find flights. With RBC you can use it for travel and much more. Not sure if you get the best return on points but very easy to redeem them.

BMO rolled out a World-Elite MasterCard. A coworker ran through a bunch of scenarios for flights he wants to take this year for all the major cards, and it came out on top. Fee is a bit higher, but a second card has no fee. There are $300 worth of points and no first year fee as a signup promo right now.

Travel insurance is also better than most other cards (21 days vs 15 days)

You can now get a $100 gift card for Amazon, Starbucks, Future Shop or the Ultimate Dining Card (Swiss Chalet, Montana's, Kelsey's, Harvey's or Milestones) if you sign up now. With the first year fee waived this means you can get $200 savings.

I have the card and earned almost $600 last year in cash back. My only regret is that they didn't have this offer when I signed up.

PM me if you want the link (I tried to post it but keep getting an error message)
Anyone know if the $100 gift card is still available?

The $100 gift card offer has ended but there is a new offer of $70 cash back for anyone signing up for the Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite. They also waive the $99 annual fee for the first year. This means you'd get $169 in value for the first year plus all the cash back. This offer ends May 31.

Again, can't get the link to work for some reason so if anyone wants it PM me and I'll send it
