Yeah, all 3 that Ramo gave up were high percentage chances. The 2nd one was a no-stopper, no matter who's in net.

First was a two man breakaway essentially, and extremely difficult one to even have a chance at saving. The 3rd goal was a difficult right to left move and the guy went to his backhand which changes the angle of attack substantially. So yeah, not his fault.

The goalie change was more about waking the team up, and it did the job.

With Gio's very quiet 3 point night, he ties his career high from last season with 47 points in 57 games. On pace for ~67 pts. Absolutely amazing season for our best player.

What an electric atmosphere at the dome last night.
The Flames got pushed around and were intimidated but Jones showed some courage cutting hard inside to the net against Chara. That started it all.
Gio i thought was the catalyst for the Flames with 3 assists. He was every shift looking to make plays.
And what can be said on Brodies goal but "the hand of Monty"

You'll be disappointed. It's an actual high stick that cuts Pasternak...

It was nice to see the Flames come back and win after the refs missed two obvious Bruin penalties in the 3rd period and the linesman missing a offside call where the puck was out by at least a foot.

Yeah I don't get all the comments about it being a dive considering he was bleeding. So it had to have hit him.

Ditto. Sometimes you get a closer look when you watch it on TV.

How so, he's been invisible. He turns the puck over shift after shift, and he's not able to keep up creatively. Too many years of Sutter style cycle the puck in the same routine over and over.

no surprise the trade threads pop up today

"I don't know what to say anymore. Those guys never quit," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. "We always have the feeling that we can pull out those comebacks."
Quote:
"Right now, we're in a situation where we feel good," said Hartley. "We understand it won't be easy as there are many great teams in the Western Conference pushing but we're controlling our own destiny and comebacks like tonight can only add confidence of our young group."
Quote:
"Sometimes, changing goalies is like calling a time-out," said Hartley. "You give your team a chance to change the momentum. Jonas deserves tons of credit, he came up with a few big saves and he kept the game at 3-0."
