So who do we want to win the VAN/MIN game? Since both can't lose, unfortunately, I guess a regulation win either way is our best case scenario?

On the topic of cars, trying to decide between a new Mazda3 and a 2014 Focus. Any opinions?

How is that a good thing? Calgary doesn't need to pass Vancouver, but they do have to stay ahead of Minnesota.

I'm always weird with vehicle's. Most people seemed to hate the old Escape look but think the new one is great looking, I think the last model is where it hit it's peak, and the new model got caught in that modern vehicle trap where every company went for the same look with their rounded SUV's. boo to rounded SUV's.

Great

boring, stuck in the modern bland rounded SUV machine

We'd better beat Minnesota on Wednesday.

Think there is a better chance of passing Vancouver rather than staying ahead of Minny.

If Byron buried a ton of his chances he wouldn't be making league minimum salary playing on the 3rd and 4th line

So with Bryon out who steps in and gets/buries all these chances he is missing?

Thank god. No more listening to Leah Hextall's annoying voice. Really don't know how anyone could like her whiney, trying to be cool delivery.

Anyway. Go Flames Go! Third coming up.

If they get ahead of Vancouver and/or San Jose, it doesn't matter what Minnesota does.

But passing Vancouver would help us more in the long run.

Look at a new Golf. It hasn't won a bazillion awards for nothing. I don't work for VW anymore so I'm not shilling the brand. The thing looks and feels like an Audi inside, and the drive is a million times more refined than the cars your looking at.

The 2.0L turbo is one of the best engines I've ever driven. It's not the smoothest, so if you're after a smooth shifting cruise get the non-turbo snail. But you will love this engine. It is getting better fuel economy than the (albeit old) Mazda3 it replaced, and it's costing $45 to fill a tank... and it moves. I'm so impressed.

HOWEVER, Ford is replacing it. If you can hold off, the new engine is coming for the 2016 models it seems.

If Byron had good hands he'd be a first liner. As he doesn't, he's a fourth liner.

And if he becomes Paul Ranheim that would be great. Ranheim was a very effective defensive player. Look at his numbers perhaps. Not a "waste".

What was Byron's job on that shift? To kill the penalty. Did you see any power play goals there?

Personally I'd go with the Focus. I've never liked Mazda much since Ford sold them. Admittedly I haven't driven a Mazda3 since the 2006 model but I have driven the new Focus and I seriously doubt the Mazda would be better.

I'd take a look at VW too. Didn't like much else in that segment, the Dodge Dart felt like it was going to fall apart at any second, Corolla is about as exciting a a can of beige paint, Civic is bleh

Agreed, but if he doesn't start scoring on some of these chances he'll be in Europe.

I prefer the Aston Martin Vanquish.
