I think I've figured out the CP formula. On a scale of 1-10, take the goal deficit squared, and you have the severity of the hyperbole of anything that is happening in the game.
1 goal deficit = no big deal
2 goal deficit = [insert player] is a bum, I hope we get a fifth when we trade him
3 goal deficit = blow it up
