In a single season, about 2 of the 16 playoff teams make it despite very low possession numbers. Montreal does it year over year through Carey Price. The rest either need to improve or risk falling out.

It sure makes the comparison look better when the GF/GA are not even close to being correct. wtf?
Edit: just saw the discussion about this. n/m

Last 88 games:

50-35-3 +31

If +31 in 88 games is luck, it isn't a black swan, it's a bright pink with green polka dots swan

That might be it because NHL.com doesn't have a 6-on-5 column, so they must consider those 5-on-5 goals.

Have the Flames really scored 7 goals with their goalie pulled and not allowed any against when the other team had theirs pulled? If so, that's damned impressive, I don't care what the fancy stats say.

I was at the game tonight. Philadelphia out shot Toronto by a 3-1 margin and yet they lost. Bernier kept them in the game. The Maple Leafs are a very bad team.

Wow, I tried to watch some of the Leafs/Capitals game today. Hard to watch. The Leafs give a crap level is so low. I was hoping they would start winning some games that would lower their lottery chances. I don't think they will win another game!!!

Toronto is no good!!!

Yeah, I watched it too... seems like the Leafs don't even care anymore. They have a long road ahead of them in order to get any better.

Which makes me laugh. I love laughing at their misery. I hope it continues.

And Dave Nonis is still at the helm, with the task of cleaning up his own mess. Makes it even better.

Good for Kessel for standing up for his teammate. The Toronto media really does suck.

Uh, what do you mean? Just in general? Like what? No, just in general!

They criticize Dion because its Toronto, hes the Captain, he gets paid $7M and hes been playing like garbage.

Its embarrassing, I've had it, I'm tired of it.

He denies it, but I think in his head he substitutes "me" for "Dion Phaneuf", or at least is thinking "me and Dion".

He also takes a subtle shot at management "Dion didn't build this team". And, I guess, the other players who are part of the crappy team that was built.

Maple Leafs respond to upset fan on twitter and get absolutely burned.
