Flames are probably going to have to finish top 3 in the Pacific, because I don't see Minny slowing down. Almost unbeatable since acquiring Dubnyk.

Winnipeg is also in a good spot, and I can easily see 5 teams from the Central making the dance.

It has been a wild third period in Denver. The Avalanche tied the game 3-3 and Iginla scored a goal. Since then the Rangers took control 6-3.

Well, COL lost, WPG lost. Flames need this W to put COL and L.A even further in the rear view mirror.

odd that a team with Iginla and Tanguay would choke down the stretch

Kinda like when Tanguay scored 2 goals in game 7 of the Cup Finals and when Iginla led the team out of a decade of mediocrity to game 7 of the Cup Finals.

We're really going to blame the two aging players that were brought on as support? Really?

Especially considering they're the only two scoring? Dumb

Do you want to place the blame on one or two people?

Cannot disagree that the last few years of their tenure was exactly what Dino posted. I'm just barely getting the sour taste out of my mouth from the end of that era.

no kidding, I enjoyed 04 as much as the next guy but beyond that there was a lot of choking with Iggy leading the team. Obviously the Colorado thing is not all his fault but its kinda funny he didn't want to be part of the rebuild here and 2 years later the Flames are doing far better than his hand picked team

Tanguay well, he made the playoffs with the flames two times and losing in the first round and scoring a grand total of 1 goal in the two series combined
