From Raiders perspective I really hope Williams or Ray drop a spot and are available at 4, or else we trade down to someone who potentially wants Mariota and pick up another first or 2nd +
I like Amari Cooper and Carr definitely needs weapons so I wouldn't hate the pick, but to add one of those guys to Mack and that pass rush becomes one of the best in the league very quickly, or if you trade down and maybe pick up White or Parker who don't seem too far behind Cooper to most scouts, and then add another pass rusher with the extra pick (Vic Beasley maybe)

But why pass on Gregory if here's there? Supposed to be the best pass rusher, from the DE position, in the draft.

I'd be happy with him but I've seen a few people that think Gregory ends up being an outside line backer in a 3-4, too lean to be a DE and could have issues stopping the run
I guess maybe it will depend on the combine, if he's added a bit of bulk (he's the same weight as Ray for example but he's 6'6 not 6'2) than I would probably prefer him ahead of Ray because of his upside
a lot dependent on free agency too, i.e if the Suh rumors turn out to be valid
or the WR one's too, there are a bunch of WR FA's
Dez - 0% chance he leaves Dallas IMO
Demaryius Thomas
Randall Cobb
Jeremy Maclin
Torrey Smith
Michael Crabtree
if they sign 1 of those than Cooper becomes less likely anyway

That is true, the Raiders plan to be the largest spenders during Free Agency and they probably should throw money at Suh and if they value a veteran WR, Maclin would fit that bill.

The Raiders should keep their dirty hands off Maclin.

Meh. If the Raiders want to throw a ridiculous amount of cash at Maclin, let them. I think it's pretty obvious his numbers had as much to do with Kelly's system as they did with Maclin's own talent. He never had a 1000 yard season prior to Kelly's arrival, and his numbers were similar to Jackson's in 2013.

The cap floor becomes 95% next year so the Raiders have to be big spenders in FA. So do many teams for that matter, though I expect many teams will simply lock of their own guys instead.

Apparently there is a big outrage over the Eagles putting Riley Cooper on their calendar for black history month. Am I wrong in thinking that people are getting too wound up over this type of thing?

"Perfect!"

I think Maclin is going to get a huge pay day simply because Dez & Demaryius will get franchised or re-signed, leaving Maclin as the only "#1 WR" in free agency. Cobb is more of a secondary threat in the slot.

Yep, and I think someone's going to overpay to get him. I'd like to see the Eagles re-sign him, but they screwed up big time on the Cooper contract last year and now their hands are kind of tied. They do have cap space, but they need to start handing out extensions to guys like Kendricks and Cox and can't afford to have so much money tied up at the WR position, especially since they're going to need to rebuild the secondary through free agency if they want to win before the offensive line is too old. I'd be perfectly fine with them letting Maclin and signing Crabtree.
Crabtree
GP REC YDS AVG TD
77-347-4327-12.5-26
Maclin
73-343-4771-13.9-36
Their career numbers are very similar, and Maclin has had the advantage of playing for two offensive-minded coaches in Kelly and Reid, whereas Crabtree has played in a very conservative offence for his entire career. He's also likely going to be a steal due to the fact that his numbers were down this year, which I think can be attributed to his injury troubles (still don't think he was fully healed from his achilles tear last year) and awful QB play.

I'll suggest that black rights leaders couldn't care less who is pictured for the month of February on a football calendar -- just another thing that the NFL media over-scrutinizes to death (shocking, I know).

Looking at the Chiefs cap situation, it's pretty ugly, and they'll need to pay Justin Houston. Have to think guys like Tamba and Hali could be cut for cap reasons.

He's going to be so unaffordable that he'll count as two players now!

Apparently Nate Allen was arrested in Florida for something. The tweets from the Philly media have been pretty good.
Eliot Shorr-Parks @EliotShorrParks 5m5 minutes ago
I picked a bad day to say the #Eagle should lock up Nate Allen.
Jimmy Kempski @JimmyKempski 4m4 minutes ago
I'm 100% sure that whatever Nate Allen was arrested for was an "attempted" crime.
Fake Coatesy @fakecoatesy 27m27 minutes ago
I bet Bradley Fletcher & Cary Williams were in the back seat, but failed to alert Nate the cops were following. They never turned around.
And my personal favourite:
Les Bowen @LesBowen 22m22 minutes ago
The Nate Allen arrest report is from Fox 4 TV in Fort Myers Fla. Gives no details. Calls him “NFL star,” so maybe it’s a different guy...
