Jones off to NFL (giants)
Bryant off to Bombers
Sinopli off to RedBlacks
MacDougall off to Riders
Micah Johnson, Nik Lewis and Harrison remain. No rumors of Stamps being after anyone.

Bryant and Jones are going to be tought to replace (hopefully Lavertu can step in for Jones). Sinopoli was a versatile guy and I liked him, although I'm sure playing in his hometown was a huge attraction. Oh well, I have confidence that Huff can find some capable replacements.

Winnipeg must have offered $$$ to get Bryant; I'm guessing we'll be hearing about Edwin Harrison re-signing in Calgary soon. Loss of Jones was not a surprise to me; Lavertu will have some big shoes to fill.
Sinopoli was also not a big surprise to go to Ottawa; I like Charbonneau-Campeau though and we still have Parker (and Arthur) as national receivers.
I can see another team signing Nik to mentor the young guys -- we simply have too many talented receivers currently on the roster. No sentimental attachment either -- Nik was able to leave as a Champ so the timing makes sense.

Yep Stanley Bryant signed for $160K a season. Too rich for the Stamps.

I am a fan of Boudreaux, I guess the only concern would be if the injuries have slowed him down, but he can definitely get after the QB when healthy. Great to have Harrison back and I don't know very much about Swiston so I can't comment on him.

He was a former Bombers pick who is Canadian, 6 foot 9 and 330 pounds, he's a monster.
I guess he's had a lot of injury problems and had some big surgeries so he is definitely a project but it's all reward and no risk so I like the move by Huff. Can't have too many Canadian O-lineman.

I guess Pierre Lavertu will be our centre this coming season. I wonder who will back him up? I don't really know much about OL Swiston and DL Bordeaux.

What about a guy like Justin Hickman for the DL? After looking at the link, he only played in 9 games last year...I guess he was hurt?

Hickman was actually with the Indianapolis Colts. He signed a 2 years contract in 2012 then he was released in June 2014 after spending on Colts injured reserved list. I guess he was waiting for another NFL while trying to get healthy but did not get any. He then decided to go back to Hamilton halfway through the season.
He actually just re-signed with the TiCats.

Swiston is a Calgary kid.....went to Scarlett and U of C.
Hopefully his surgeries are all behind him and he can find his groove with the red and white.....they need someone to step up from somewhere.

Poor Toronto. They need a new owner and stadium ASAP. Hoping for a big rebound year for the CFL.

Poor Toronto? That snotty City thinks they are above the CFL, they deserve everything they get.
The Stampeders have lost a lot of talent, and just like after the last time we won a grey cup we lose our left tackle.
They seem to be really focused on repeating though, and I don't see how we are going to be stopped now that Mitchell has a year of starting under his belt and a championship.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Toronto with a passion and all their teams. As a huge CFL fan I do want the Argos to succeed and survive for the benefit of the league. A healthy Toronto is crucial to the CFL longterm. The fans they do have have are very loyal and knowledgable. Hopefully a new stadium can ressurect that team.

Stamps add 2...
http://www.stampeders.com/article/st...two-on-offence
Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce the signing of international running back Keith Toston and international quarterback Dominique Davis. As per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
Toston appeared in one regular-season game for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2014 — an Oct. 24 contest at Calgary — and carried the ball six times for 72 yards.
Davis was with the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons as the backup to starting quarterback Matt Ryan and also spent time with the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts. He saw action in one game for the Falcons in 2013 and completed five of seven passes for 34 yards.
and last week added:
John Hufnagel is pleased to announce the signing of national kicker-punter Tyler Crapigna, national defensive lineman Derek Wiggan and international defensive back Ryan Mouton.
http://www.stampeders.com/article/stamps-sign-trio2
Crapigna, who was selected in the fifth round (40th overall) by Calgary in 2014, made an impression while with the Stampeders at training camp last season
With Queen’s University in 2014, Wiggan — a fourth-round selection by the Stamps in 2014 — made 36 total tackles and led the Gaels with 5.5 sacks. He led Ontario University Athletics with four fumble recoveries and also had 12 tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
Mouton was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round (94th overall) of the 2009 National Football League draft and played 36 games over three seasons for the Titans.
and lastly added Khalil Carter as DB Coach
