Icon56 E.Kane, Bogosian, Kasdorf to Buffalo for Myers, Stafford, Armia, Lemieux and 1st

Might as well start a new thread

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Huge deal. Hearing Myers Stafford Armia and Lemieux plus a first for Kane and Bogosian as principles of deal getting close btwn Buf + Wpg.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Again principles of Jets-Sabres deal: Myers Stafford Armia and Lemieux plus a first for Kane and Bogosian. Could be other elements.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
1st round pick Jets acquire will be lowest of 3 of the Sabres picks. Very complicated trade. Sounds like an unsigned player from Peg as well

Craig Custance @CraigCustance
Told the Kane to Sabres deal is done. Trade call made.

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Word is Evander Kane is ok with trade to Buffalo. Chance for a fresh start. Looking forward to playing major role on rebuilding Sabres.

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Not saying Buffalo would have been Kane's top choice, but he's fine with it

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Myers Stafford Armia Lemieux and first for Bogosian and Kane

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Jason Kasdorf a goalie from RPI also goes in deal

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Kane deal done

Cab drivers everywhere in Buffalo got nervous at the sound of Kane coming there...

HUGE win for the jets if true

It wouldn't be a 2015 first... I just couldn't see that.

Still, would the Jets be offering to apply lube before pulling the trigger... because that would be rape.

Wrong Kane. It was Patrick that had the cab driver incident.

It is likely St. Louis or Islanders 2015 pick

Holy cow. Why exactly would Buffalo do that?

Lol at him going from one dump to another in Buffalo.

The Jets are better off for this trade right now, but they may be getting hosed in the end.

Kane will be a 30-40 goal scorer playing with McDavid if Buffalo wins the lottery.

Stafford and Meyers are ok they give the Jets depth for the time being.

I think it would be 2015. Buffalo has 3 first round picks. It would be one of the latter.

Interesting. Stafford is basically a rental as he's a UFA. Armia was a first round pick and doing ok in the AHL this year but he's about to turn 22 and hasn't cracked the powerhouse Sabres lineup.

Lemieux will be an annoying guy but probably 3rd line max.

I know, that's why they only got nervous. I'm sure this Kane will do something along those lines soon anyway.

I'm sure Kane will love Buffalo as much as Winnipeg!!! More of the same to come??? How soon before he is demanding trade from there?

Could turn out to be a massive overpayment on Buffalo's part, however I can see it being a good deal for both.

Don't know much about Lemiuex, but Armia is supposedly very good, Stafford is pretty good (and if they can get him to re-sign then even better), and Myers is better than Bogosian.

Buffalo are basically hoping that Kane starts firing on all cylinders with one of their high draft picks, and that Bogosian somehow manages to turn it around.

Personally I think Dreger does not have all the names or info correct. Seems like a landslide win for the jets.

I don't believe this offer because if it was true the Jets would be all over this unless Cheveldayoff is more incompetent than I imagined as I can't see any team offering remotely close to this for Kane. Myers for Bogosian alone is a big win for the Jets.

If true, I think this is too much. Kane + Bogosian = Myers, Stafford, Armia, Lemieux and a first.

I am going to assume that it isn't the Sabres first, of course. Still seems like an over-payment to me, and I would think makes the future of Winnipeg a heck of a lot brighter.

This is about as blockbuster as it gets. A total of 6 first round picks are (rumored to) being exchanged, as well as a former 31st overall pick.

great deal for both teams! Buffalo has a deep enough prospect pool that they can afford to give up so much.
