With all the 2 on 1s, they've had, have to bury one.

Absolutely awful icing goal. An absolute joke and you can guarantee that they wouldn't have called it icing on the team that was losing at the time. It's human nature but it sucks how blatant it is, to always try and help the team thats losing.

Still leading though. People need to have a bit of faith.

They still have the lead and the 3rd period is their best period of hockey.

The score is 2-1 Flames, right? Did I miss the part where they lost the game?

Both you and the panel say that, but where's the evidence of their momentum? I say Hartley refocuses the guys and they pot a couple in th first 10.

If this iteration of the Flames had shown, in any way, shape, or form, that they were even the slightest bit mentally fragile I would probably be much more worried than I am right now.

This is a tough, fast, tenacious, and headstrong team that will probably use that as motivation. I think everyone prefer that shot not go in, but this exactly the kind of challenge that can contribute to that "never say die" ethos that this team has.

Because of that goal, Flames will probably come out flying in the 3rd like they're down 1 instead of up 1.

SJ has also had a ton of good chances...usually right before the Flames chances

I've noticed that a lot since they changed to the hybrid icing last year. It's like the linesmen are so focused on the "race to the face off dots", that they forget they're supposed to wait until the puck crosses the line too.

So we shouldn't get Kane, you're saying?

And yet the Flames are still winning 2-1 with one period to go after playing a near perfect road game so far. Not to mention they are one of, if not the best third period teams in all of hockey.

And are 13-0 when leading to start the 3rd.

It was called early by a hair... There was still one second left on the clock when the puck went in. It wouldn't have made a difference.

Rewound center ice, puck crossed the line at 3.2

Clock stopped at 3.1

I'm not so worried about the Flames as much as the Sharks are one of those teams that always seems to score in spurts. They're going to come out flying in the third, wouldn't surprise me to see a 2 - 2 game within the first few mins.

I don't mean that in the negative fan way, I just mean in "that's the way hockey games go" kind of way.
