It was there third game in four nights. Most teams would have probably put in back up. Granted fleury really didn't have to do much against the flames, so he was already probably well rested.lol

God the Canucks are so hard to watch. What a disgrace.

I saw the same thing on tv a month ago. Most years it's pretty even, but they showed a stat for this year and it favoured the Canucks by quite a bit. Granted I cant remember if it was for the whole season or just games played up to that point.

I believe its been mentioned on a broadcast before and I may be wrong but I feel like the Canucks have the most games of any team this season where the opponent played the night before and I want to say it is over or around 15 games.

I think Gillis's whining to the league since his team's lack of power plays against the Hawks may have something to do with the schedule. Like seriously. 3 games of low hanging fruit in a row like this, where it's not only back to backs but their third game in four nights while they sit sit at home being fed grapes and having fun with each other

Actually, its 22 or 23 - cant remember which.

Calgary, by comparison, is around 13 I believe

^^^Whatever.
All the hand-wringing about how many games the Canucks get against tired teams is overblown. Doesn't matter to the Flames. They control their own destiny, not the Canucks. Canucks probably have the worst travel schedule in the league, so again, whatever.

Whether the Vancouver 'Jobs make or miss the playoffs, this will happen to them:

Overblown? Look at how poorly Pittsburgh is playing. And more than half of their home games for the entire season get the same treatment.

That doesn't outweigh the fact more tired teams are coming in to play a rested team. The extra average one hour flight on a first class road trip doesn't tip the scales.

Sure, but the Flames are or aren't going to make the playoffs based on how they perform. It's like saying they would have made the playoffs if they were in the East. They're not. They play in the same division as Vancouver who (may)have a soft schedule. It is what it is.

Fans crying about it is the kind of thing I'd expect on a canucks board.

Nice use of hyperbole. Hardly crying, more simple observations on their schedule.

Fair enough. Not trying to pick a fight here at all. Just feeling that it is one of those things that happens that you can't control, so why worry about it. It might be worth checking the Canucks record in those games to see if there is an advantage, but San Jose smoked them last week, so it didn't help them there.
I would like to believe that the Flames don't worry about that sort of thing either.
