Watching Utica play is painful.

The good news is that it isn't a great environment for development - they ice a much older team and play defensive. I cant see them being much of a prospect factory for the Nucks.

Huska Interview:

Did not play full 60 minutes last night. Comets won special teams battle last night. Need to play stronger and heavier game then last night.

Penalty Kill is no good right now. Taking too many penalties. Guys are not blocking enough shots. They need to get better about getting into shot lanes. Need to read off each other better as well.

Guys aren't thinking of the losses against Utica. They had the mental block down 3. Now they just block it out.

Loss of Culkin is huge. He was playing against the top line of other teams. First year player and he trusted him to play top minutes top guys, going to be hard to replace. He has some rehab ahead of him and he isn't expected back for awhile. Hoping he will be back before the end of the year, but not sure.

Kulak has been great on the PP in Colorado and he was called up to help the Flames PP. They will get him into practice Monday and then should be in games almost right away. Kulak has alot of confidence and playing well with the Eagles. Hopes he can bring that to Adirondack.

Elson is alot like Bill Arnold where he plays hard and knows the game. Glad to see him coming into a more offensive role. Plays a good physical game and now getting more offense to go with it.

Puck Dropped for the 2nd.

Flames immediately take the puck into the Comets zone and Reinhart misses a wide open net.

Flames just taking it to Utica to start the 2nd. Not even a minute in and they have 3 SOG.

Markstrom now complaining to the officials. Probably not happy about the Flames bodies in front of and in his net.

Baertschi to Poirier again who tries a backhand move, but doesn't go past Markstrom.

Puck gets back to Acolaste who blasts it through, tipped in front by Baertschi and Markstrom gets the save.

Something has to give here.

Another glove save by Markstrom off of Granlund.

Flames are now 6-0 shots only 2 minutes into the 2nd.

I'm not sure what Huska said in the room but it worked. Wow.

Flames just keep firing on Markstrom.

Ferland and Hathaway with shots off of a 3 on 1 and Markstrom again making saves.

Wotherspoon with a huge shot from the point, it's blocked.

Granlund has the puck in the crease and shoots it high.

CUNDARI JUST DESTROYED ARCHIBALD!

Wow. That was a beautiful hipcheck.

Centre Ice hit, Archibald just went head over feet in the air before hitting the ice. Old school like.

McGrattan blocks a shot and then takes the puck into the Comets zone and takes the shot and Markstrom makes the save.

Baertschi had a nice chance just after the Cundari hit but again, Markstrom makes a save.

Is Markstrom NHL ready in your opinion?

McGrattan with another block on a Comets shot and gets a couple more shots on net. McGrattan steps to the middle and takes a shot and just over the net.

(I think Grats heard what I said about slow and bad positioning. I'm sorry Grats. Let me live!)

Stevenson with a huge hit on the boards and the Comets player just stumbles back to the net.
