From Chrome it should be (with the proper extension installed). Pretty sure I have done it in the past but will have to test it out again.

Got mine a few weeks ago and works well. Been watching a lot of Youtube stuff, I also like just putting on songs from songza on there while I'm doing work around the house.

I think the latest update lets you stream any website. I think that was the beta version before. Surely someone more knowledgeable than me can tell you for sure though.

Works well with apps like netflix, etc from IOS... but it optimized for Android - much like apple tv is for IOS.
List of apps that support Chromecast, including several IOS ones

It is such a cool little tech toy

Can you get new offers every time they come up or is it only for new subscribers? Thanks.

I picked one up on the weekend and it's quite slow (nearly unusable). My network appears to be fine (streams work on other devices), but for some reason it's not liking my setup. Anybody have an issue setting it up while using an Airport Extreme?

Check your offers, Valentines gift of 6 dollars Google Play credit for each Chromecast you own.
I own two of them and with this gift, the 10 dollar credit per unit gift when I bought it and the 90 days of Google Play Music streaming service (again per device) these nifty little $39 devices have paid for themselves and then some.

Can you dumb this down for me? Like how do I see where to get that credit?

https://cast.google.com/chromecast/offers/
Or use the Chomecast App on your Android Phone/Tablet, select the Chomecast App, click the menu button and then Check for Offers.

I have had problems redeming my 90 days of music for some reason when I go into my offers in my chromecast app it doesn't seem to want to redeem and just gives me a phone number to call.
Any ideas?

Call the number?
If you had/have the streaming service at the time of the offer, or used a previous free offer you wouldn't be able to get the 90 day one IIRC.

I use the browser cast now to cast Game Centre for games and it's awesome. No audio lag on the TV as the Chromecast adjusts and quality is perfect on full screen. Quality is no good on any of the multiple screen views though.

My mother-in-law is in the same boat - anyone have a Chromecast working with Telus on just their v1000h modem/router?
