Considering plenty of people around here want rid of Glencross, do any of the same people want to pick up Kane? Silliness if so.

Just shows what a deal Glencross is signed to more then anything.

The thing that drives me nuts about these soap-opera type stories (be it Sven's alleged attitude issues, Hartley's personal preferences for some players and not others, Stajan's personal distractions, Kane's naughtiness, big B's bullying etc. etc.) is that none of us, with maybe a few possible exceptions, know these individuals and what's going on in their heads or know what's going on in the locker room. I guess it's fun to speculate about these things, but no one should be stating "its a fact" or "this is clear case of . . . " The only fact of the matter is you are speculating about personal motivations and circumstances that you know nothing about. End rant.

Please no toxic players, we saw what the Phaneuf era was like for our locker room, now we have this exciting young group with great vets who get a long like a family. It could take just one idiot like Kane to ruin that.

Jets in my opinion would show no interest.
Yakupov has limited value, while Kane has shown he can be a first line player....

IMO Kane has showed he can be a top 6 forward (severely overrated by many) and Yakupov has yet to prove he's worthy of playing in the NHL so I agree the Jets likely would have little interest in that deal.

Admittedly I haven't watched him much, but I've never understood the hype about Kane. He scored 30 goals and 55 points one season years ago...besides that he's never scored 20 or cracked 45 points. He's perennially a minus player and takes a lot of penalties. And a bad attitude to boot.
Doesn't look like a first line player at all though he is paid like one. I think it's just the NHL's obsession with power forwards that makes him hyped up.

Personally, I would never want the Flames to trade for the guy but I bet teams are out there who will show interest....

Kane won't be happy until he is in LA, Miami or NYC. Thinks he is a playboy.

Aaron Ward said the clothes in the shower thing has been done to him, and he has done it to others. Rhett Warrener said the same thing. Whatever you think of the practice, it's apparently common in the NHL, and carried out by every team to enforce group standards.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Kane on the oilers... It would be even better if the oil gave up some good value to get him. What about Kane + Winnipeg's first for the oilers first (providing it's not 1 or 2).

Years ago?
Kane is 23.
Would I want him on the Flames? Probably not, even at discount... but let's not be silly here.

They also need someone who can score a goal or two. Yakupov ain't that.

Kane's an enticing player for sure. I'm sure there will be alot of interested teams in him as a reclaimation project. He's got 30-40 goal 50-100 PIM upside, that'll make many teams willing to take on the baggage. Problem is that every team knows Winnipeg has to trade him so they wont even offer anything close to his value. Crappy situation for the franchise.

Yeah, the guy is one year older than Sven Baertschi and has 109 goals in the NHL. That's third in his draft year behind Tavares (159) and Duchene (118). Whatever people may think about his attitude, his talent and production are elite.

Maybe the kings look at him? Richards for Kane? The kings would need to sweeten the deal a bit maybe? Not sure the jets want that contract attached to Richards though.

Even Edmonton radio (homers) say that there is no way the Jets would take Yakupov for Kane.
Although, they did suggest that Eberle for Kane would be good for the Jets.

Good, Kane is a punk and a locker room distraction. He's a me first diva.
Your comment about being a bully is also laughable and shows that either you've literally never played a team sport in your life, or if you did you were the one picked on for doing dumb crap and now you're siding with Playboy Kane.
Numerous hockey people have come out and said that what Buff did was how players deal with problems in the lockerroom to set people straight. Kane could have manned up and owned it, instead he threw his hands up in the air and bailed on his team. My team.
F*** him. Go play in Florida, LA, or, better yet... get traded to the Islanders and hang with Jay Z for all I give a rats ass.

No to Kane. If some of us on CP had our way, we'd have a team this season that would include E. Kane, Phaneuf and Mike Richards. God Jesus, no.
