Last year we got like one or two that led to us picking 4th overall. This year they might make a big difference in the opposite direction.

Maybe it's just me and blind hatred but it seems like the canucks have been getting beat up at home a lot this season.

Colorado's offensive woes are a bit perplexing. Thank god they matched the O'Reilly offer sheet. Nothing against him but the Flames are so much better off with Sean Monahan.

They have been pretty crappy at home this year, just above .500. But when the canucks lose they lose big.

I predicted a few weeks back that vancouver will fall out of the playoff race and I still think that happens. There is just nothing special about them. Not fast, overly skilled, strong or physical. They rode some solid goaltending early but their play lately has been pretty bad.

According to Sports club stats a San Jose win brings our chances down -0.2% but looking at trying to get the 2nd spot in the seedings, I'd rather our immediate chances against San Jose.

Having said that, I could see another big meltdown by the Canucks to fall out of the playoffs. Oh yeah Biaksa is out indefinitely as well. Not really a great player but he's relied on a lot by the Canucks.

Vancouver started 16-6

since then...no good

Nothing is certain, but I think the Flames have a good shot and being a top 3 Pacific team

I agree and it's good to have someone who watches them play regularly affirm my own opinion.

Yeah, rare it seems these days. It sucks that one of Vancouver or SJ was going to get 2 points tonight, but at least no 3 point games. Vancouver losing does suit us well as it takes away one of their games in hand.
