Jason Markusoff from the Herald wants YOU to design a new Calgary flag!
Some talk on twitter yesterday about a retiring provincial politician (Yvonne Fritz) that was also a city alderman and won the city competition to design a flag for Calgary in 1983:
This led to some talk about the flag on twitter (it looks like the Arby's logo, etc) and what a new design should look like.
So Mr. Markusoff is asking for your designs, the grand prize? Lunch at Arby's. 
So CP, show us your designs! After all we did design that pretty kick-ass Peace bridge by committee all those years ago.

I've always thought Calgary needs an anthem as well as a flag.

Just put the Coat of Arms on a flag and the job is done. Although, I would update the Coat of Arms to show the current Canadian flag instead of the Union Jack.

I do not support this. I like our flag. It's certainly not the worst city flag in Canada...

It's nothing official, just a writer at the Herald curious what people would do if they designed a new flag.
