Stockton Scorch sounds good but can also be a D-league WNBA team.
I think they should keep it the Thunder.
Does anyone know if Adirondack is keeping the Flames name? I really like the Atlanta A as their logo and hope they keep it that way.

This is one reason we should stay out of the voting and let Stockton choose the name. Probably stay with Thunder since the hockey fans like that name and associate their hockey team with it. It's important to make them feel it's their team.

How about the Stockton Navigators to honour the gold rush pioneers who came to the city in the 19th century, as well as the fact that it was an inland river port city and a major transportation hub in its earlier days?
You could even shorten it to the Navs, just for being easier on the tongue. It even sounds like "Jazz" in honour of the Stockton/Malone reference!

I will be happy with them calling themselves anything but the Flames.
Having to use "AHL Flames" or "NHL Flames" to clarify my posts drives me nuts. I think a few people have also mentioned that seeing my GDT in their feed with Flames confused them because it will be against a non-NHL team.
Anything other then Flames will be great.
