I don't think they've ever faced this guy, so it's not that they are relying on his past record against the Flames.

But he's an NHL goalie, so treat him as such, I guess.

Maybe cause we've bested Niemi a couple times, they feel changing things up in net might throw us off, or Stalock will have better luck.

But somehow I just don't see it, not when we can leap frog them tonight. I'd be equally concerned about contests against either team. But hey, I'm not going to argue with it. Can't see how this doesn't improve our chances. All the more likely we can come back against a less proven goalie if they manage to pull ahead early, and they know just how good we are at that lol.

Stalock? Pretty sure he's started against the Flames once within the last two years.

EDIT : looking through the 2013-2014 season he's played the Flames 3 times. 1-1-1 is his record. Note: Not sure if O on the nhl.com stats page means OT loss so his record could be 2-1.

Thanks - it's what I get for relying on my old brain and not looking it up. You'd think I'd remember a kid that played against them that recently.

Sharks are doing us a favor... Putting their best goalie against Vancouver.

He lost in a shootout last March, it turns out (but played pretty well).

LOL, Wes Gilbertson on NHL Live! right now talking about the topic I wrote about today, namely 3rd periods and the 66 to 33 GF/GA.

Also talking about that comeback win against L.A. right before the Christmas break where Gaudreau had an unreal night as the turning point of the season.

Not really that surprising. It is something the media in Calgary has been talking about quite a bit over the last month. I think the goal differential has been mentioned on every broadcast I've seen the last month.

With the recent run of play now Flames are starting to get some looks again, national media was kind of quiet about them after the 8 game losing streak.

This is the most exciting season in a decade. Every game means something, we have all star talent and they put in big efforts every single game. Each game is so emotionally draining. Win 2 in a row and we are way ahead, lose 2 in a row and the entire landscape changes. Feels like playoff hockey tonight

I picked a great season to go crazy for tickets.

I've been to more games this year already then probably all years before that combined, excluding last year.

SN1? Damn it. I think my camp only has West and 360. I don't think I'll get to watch tonight. I was looking forward to this one too.

Up until 3:36 people have been commenting on this Puppet-guy photo, which I can't see anywhere. Are you all viewing this through the magical power of Netscape 7?

Only 3 photos in the OP for me. Firefox is afraid of puppets, and won't tolerate them.
Carry on.

One of my Firefox add-ons was blocking some pictures, maybe check that.
