Does this Mandel also do TV Commercials for eateries with no pants too?
Could really care less, but seems that that Smith had zero charisma, for what that counts towards anything. Plus, a stick in the mud with all that Calgary Trail and "new slogan" stuff.

on the plus side in the edmonton area St. Albert voted in favor of a new leisure centre to be built on to the existing cambell arenas. With a mark messier and troy murray rink names there, will we see a jarome iginla name attached to the 3rd rink?

Wow, there's a blast from the past.
Yes, he was the President of the UofC Students' Union... I remember him well.
Very smart (rumour had him hitting 100% on the LSAT, take that for what it's worth), good speaker (once you get by his mannerisms), solid debater, but manlier men you'll find 99 times of a hundred. Probably couldn't tie skates, and certainly wouldn't be able to hold onto a hockey stick. Nice guy though, don't want to make fun of him too much.
I heard he went to Harvard and found a high paying consulting job thereafter. Surprised he's in Calgary. He'd probably make a good alderman (smart, hard worker) but I'd never vote for him.

So not much exciting.
New Ward 3 is Helene Larocque.
Madeleine King hung on by 150 votes.
Diane Danielson lost to Margot Aftergood by 140 votes.
EDIT:One more thing, based on THIS website 119,495 people voted for Mayor. Based on THIS article there are approx. 600,000 eligable voters. That puts the turnout at about 19%.

List of Mayor dudes and website links here
Check out Doug Service here...
I'm voting for that guy. It's kind of a funny website (you can make him dance) and also he plans on building a Hydrogen Fueled Jet Engine Turbine Generator. I'm unfamiliar with what that is exactly, but it sounds pretty cool. I know Edmonton wouldn't have one and we all know that that's pretty much all that counts due to our jealousy situation and living with it and the envy.
There's a guy in Ward 14 who actually suggests a city recycling project, so I'll vote for him (his name is Pincott). Apparently Calgary is the only major city in NA without one.
|
Wow, did you actually read his explination of how he plans to fuel this thing? This guy needs to learn a little basic science.

Ha ha ha I knew you in particular would love the idea.
Just checked things out and there were 2689 like-minded souls that voted for him along with me.
Unfortunately the guy that I was seriously voting for got smoked.

^ Yeah, my favorite bit was about how we can use the methane in the sewers to make the hydrogen, because the sewers are full of the stuff. Hmmm....what else do I know of that is full of methane....hmmmmm....oh yeah, the whole freakin' province.

Yeah, but you're talking about a non renewable resource in methane found underground. I know for a fact methane I produce is supplied infinitely.... :doo:
The guy's a visionary, man!!! :biglaff:
