No, he didn't. No contact immediately before the goal and Dubnyk was not impeded in any way. This isn't the 1999 crease rule. Dubnyk just sold it well. Was funny listening to the fans booing that fact without irony though.

Of course Burrows tries to dive 30 seconds later and doesn't get the call.

And then Minnesota scored.

You got off easy... ENG for the Wild. 4-2.

Good result for us, but if we can't pull up into the top three in the division, the wild card race is going to become extremely crowded.

Garrett complaining about how long it took, without a time-out, to drop the puck on an icing call. What a homer. Makes the Canuck loss a little sweeter.

Can anyone explain to me why he wouldn't get suspended? He does this at least once a month, or more frequently. I consider him one of the biggest asses in the NHL, run a guy from behind but never drop your gloves and answer for it. God I hate Back(stabber)es.

Nice to see Van lose again.

Sucks that Sharks don't seem to be letting up, but hopefully the Nucks and Jets can falter hard here, as it seems like last years playoff teams (that are currently on the outside looking in) are continuing to push hard to get back into it. LA, Colorado, Dallas and Minny aren't going to go away quietly IMO. The more spots up for grabs the better, for the Flames.

A lot of canucks fans have a persecution complex but none are bigger than John Garret. He is convinced the league is out to get the canucks and getting jobbed is the only reason they ever lose a game.

His own colleagues mock him openly.

^ The Reddit game thread was hilarious for the persecution complex. As soon as that goal got waived off, dozens of comments about how the league has it out for them. They may be right, but if they are, it is because of their own self-created reputation for diving, whining and acting. Disrespect the officials enough times and you lose the benefit of the doubt.

I assume this Garret fellow was who I was hearing as I was watching the Canucks feed on center ice. (I don't know all the Canadian voices unfortunately) Dude would not let it go. IMO (and mind you I am not caught up in all your guys Oilers/Canucks/Flames drama as I have no dog in that fight!) is it was a good call and the announcer sounded like a whiney baby for harping on it so long.
